Loved the Refinery! Went for their all day breakfast which was wonderful, lovely friendly staff, prompt service, really great atmosphere. Decor very contemporary and industrial. Liked it so much we went back for food this evening. Place was packed, we had no reservation but they said they would fit us in, which they did! Again another wonderful meal - between us we had the Thai prawn curry, Thai chicken curry, salmon and burger. Every one of our meals was fabulous, waiting staff so friendly. Definitely a place to visit! A real gem in Manchester!

Had a wonderful roast rib of beef Sunday dinner for Mothers day. Annie & Tom were wonderful hosts and made my Mum feel extra Special. Highly recommend this place great atmosphere, food and exceptional service thankyou!!!

If you are stuck for somewhere to go on a Friday night, then check this place out. We had an amazing night. Great food served by super friendly staff. The dj was brill, the music was fab. Right up our street. Disco vibes from start to finish. Loved it! Would highly recommend! 5*
We went today for brunch and thoroughly enjoyed it! The huge building is very stylish and the atmosphere is great. The food was spot on and the staff friendly and attentive. We will defiantly be visiting here again and I will be recommending it to anyone who asks. Fantastic restaurant!

I had my 40th birthday event there last night. We had the most lovely private area with carpets and sofas and it was great. The food was excellent and the package for the food and drinks was just right. Brilliant place to celebrate. Thanks everyone for making the night so good. The best compliment i could give is that if I could give 10 stars then I would.
Fantastic Rob our mixologist was briiliant so much so we wanted to make another cocktail! Plus we booked another session for April ! I have high expectations ana standards! The Refinery far exceeded my expectations from the email interactions , the greeting when we arrived , Rob and the cocktail making! The quality of the ingredients , surroundings , everything was exemplary no complaints from us this review will be posted on my Triipadvisor as we loved our evening! Ambience was great! Chef Louie came out as we asked for the chef as our food was splendid and wanted to thank the chef, so thank you!! And thank you to Emma our host for making our experience unreal! I would recommend every time!!! My favourite restaurant in Spinningfields! We did have to wait a while for our table though, but it was well worth it as we sat outside and had a drink using the warmth of the blankets provided.
One of my favourite places to visit in the city. It’s great to get brunch from on a Sunday, or just grab a drink. Food is always well presented and tastes good, the price is good for what you get. Went there on my partners birthday and got given a free dessert as well which was nice. Staff are always friendly.
I had heard bad things about the bottomless drinks. However, we visited on a Saturday and it was a lovely place. Staff all really friendly and helpful. A good menu with plenty of choice. The atmosphere was great and a real mixture of people. I'd recommend a try.
This is a nice place with a contemporary/cosy decor. The added touches of real candles (and there are a lot of them!), faux fur to line the seats and bright orange blankets for those brave enough to sit outside in Manchester's weather, all contribute to an overall experience of luxury. Food was pretty good but all priced at above average prices. Staff were friendly and helpful but they did seem slightly overwhelmed by the number of patrons, so there was a bit of a wait. Biggest criticism is that we were all sat bunched up together in one section of the restaurant when there were so much more space to spread us out a bit. It wasn't great feeling crowded in especially when there was a bit party nearby who were a bit loud. Overall though, it was a pleasant experience and would certainly want to return for an evening experience.

Great bar and one of my new favorites in town. Really nice chilled out vibe to it and the cocktails are good (although warning don't ignore the descriptions of the taste of them as they are accurate as I ordered a Negroni and didn't think it would be that bitter)..
Anyway well worth a visit and the food and drink are good.
Modern atmosphere .Love the faux fur option on the chairs really cosy. The pods outside are heated and look fabulous for 4-6 people. The staff were friendly and the food was surprisingly fabulous..can recommend the short-rib beef Sunday lunch...absolutely delicious.

Me and my partner visited this place and was seated around the open kitchen area, at first we thought it was a bit unusual for there to be a table set up at the end of the island where the kitchen was, however it was an amazing experience watching different dishes of food being sent out and watching how the kitchen works!
The kitchen staff were on the ball especially Ruben, he was very prefesionally and clean with his work when preparing food!
Will be visiting again...
The place used to have great cocktails and good vibes, however in the past few months it seems to get a turn downwards.. cocktails for the past 4 times were average at best and the vibes kind of gone. Sort it out we like the place.
Liked it in here. A big place with plenty of seating but accoustically quiet as it was carpeted. They have plenty of props and soft furnishings like cushions and blankets on the seating to make it feel cosy. Different areas included a lounge-like seating area, a formal high table seating area, a bar seating area and some outside space, so plenty of choice as to where you want to be. The menu was varied and ok for vegetarians. At least a choice from a chef who can offer more than cheese. Good cocktails too! Enjoyed it here. Would go back.
Really loved the casual drinking and dining atmosphere here, it doesn't have the pretentious feel of alot of other places in Spinningfields. The staff were super friendly and really attentive throughout and are a credit to The Refinery.
Food was good, highly recommend the Scotch Egg with Chorizo and my friends Duck Flatbread looked excellent.
Would definitely come back here.
