Not been in the Pig for about 20 years and it's looking better now it's opened up and more open plan, using up the old toilet space. Called in randomly while we were in the area and lots of outside seating, a welcoming entrance and friendly bar staff and Reggie the guard dog 🐕 looking for some attention. Didn't try the food if it's still on, but we'll be calling back sooner than another 20 years to enjoy the proper local pub atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Really nice little pub. We only had time for one drink and done chips but will definitely go back. Plenty of outdoor space and really nicely laid out inside. Very good price for our drinks too.
This friendly pub does not disappoint when it comes to both hospitality and food. We come here regularly, because we live just across the park and out lovely dog is always welcome. Humans are welcome too. Service is great, attentive and caring. The food quality is top notch and we observed chef puts effort in making it look well arranged. What caught my attention recently was that even dressing vegetables were marinaded in a delicious flavor. Do try their lunch offer too, because food served is outside the regular menu.
Visited here today for lunch with a friend, really comfortable, friendly, warm and welcoming, person who served us SUPER LOVELY, but biggest surprise was the menu, we weren't expecting a Caribbean option and as a Pie and Mash girl surprised myself by ordered Jerk Chicken, friend ordered Curried goat,beautiful never had rice as fluffy EVER, chicken very tender, will definitely be going again.
Always worth a visit staff are nice and friendly and the Saturday they have put on a funday for the kids and adults
Fairly quiet when got there but getting a bit busier as leaving, early evening. Nice pub 👍

Lovely food, lovely cosy pub, enjoyed coming here with the family.
We went for lunch. Greeted very nicely. Staff noticed we appeared a bit cold, so moved us to a table nearer the fire. I had the chefs burger, this appeared to have been made and was well cooked, presented on brioche bun, with lettuce tomatoe, bacon and cheese. Slaw also appeared home made, personally would have preferred some mayo with the slaw. Fries obviously frozen but ok. Partner had the pulled pork burrito, which again was very nice also presented with slaw, again would have liked mayo with it, offered the choice of normal or sweet potato Fries, had the latter and very nice indeed. Happy to recommend others.
