Simply one of the best meals I have had this year. The nicest staff I have met in a long time, customer service was top notch. Ribs and Oxtail was too die for. Will be trying out everything on the menu in time. Plus they had the best RnB playlist with all the classics. Can't rate this place enough. Get down there asap you won't be disappointed.
Friendly and attentive staff. Had the most amazing jerk prawns and the ribs were succulent and falling off the bone. Would definitely recommend. Nice place, friendly staff and amazing food!!!
Mama's Shack have such a varied range of delicious food we had to return. Pleasantly surprised with the beef ribs, oh absolutely melt in the mouth with just the right spices, you can tell it's been slow cooked for hours. We chose mash & gravy as a side and I'm so pleased the gravy was not bland and the mash was creamy. We also had steak which was perfectly cooked, accompanied by a nicely dressed salad. The Seafood Stew was amazing, especially the sauce it is divine. Churros were freshly made and you must try the sauce it's served with. Love it as I've only ever seen it being served with cinnamon sugar or chocolate. We had the beef Benedict in the past, we had to try as there's a shortage of decent halal brunch places in Manchester. The chef came to our table which was a first for me. The staff here are so pleasant they treat you like family.
Unbelievably good Caribbean food. The jerk chicken was spiced and charred to perfection and the plantain so good you could eat a plate of them on their own. The mojito was unreal - best mocktail I’ve had - no sickly sugar syrup unlike other places. Can’t wait to visit again.
I really do love this place. On one of the busiest stretches where good food is hard to find this is the place to go. If you haven't already tried you'll need to add it to your bucket list. Full of Caribbean delights. Never disappointed. Meat always tender and full of flavour. Meals are well priced with big portions more than enough to fill a hungry human. In house drinks are amazing. Highly recommend the watermelon drink...unique and refreshing. They have good seating upstairs and downstairs. Lighting not too dark not too bright. Really nice decor give it a warm feeling. Will definitely vist again.
Food was nice. Bought wings and prawns as straters for mains we had Curry Goat slow cook ribs and pulled beef burger. We were also given 2 free dessert as complimentary. Defiantly recommend this place...

Really cool place. Halal food, home food, soul food served there. I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the food. Very tasty and a little spicy! I had a curry goat with jollof rice and plantains.
The prices are very affordable too, and the menu is straight forward. No complicated words!
Good food I recommend any item on the menu. The food will come fast and be warm.
The service is really nice and compliant. The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed and they have a very good series of songs playing. Fun place for drinks as well.
This place was suggested to me as a place to take my friends when they came from London. I hadnt previously visited, but im glad i did, staff were polite, service was good and food excellent. They did run out of their best selling rib dish, but i opted for the jerk chicken which made up for it. Chicken was really tender, glazed nucely and that sauce was just amazing. My friends all loved their food and cant wait to go back there. Hopefully next time i go there will be some ribs to eat.

I have not had meat cooked as perfectly as they were here. And as well as being perfectly cooked, they were extremely flavoursome. Portion sizes are really good for the price, it's priced very well. Had a nice chat with the staff and owners who are all very friendly and welcoming. 5 stars from me!
A little gem on the curry mile. We stubbled across mamas shack while searching for something different to eat. The food was amazing. I had the ribs and i mean chunky ribs. The meat just fell off the bone and the sauce just topped it off.. i had a great convo with the chef/owner and the waitress. These guys know what they are doing and if you're looking for something different cooked perfectly then this is the place. We ended the night with churros which were delicious.We will be back very soon.
Been here a couple times now, genuinely good food, decent prices, wasn't too busy, friendly staff, no fuss.
