Excellent Breakfast and Persian food! Great interior and lovely owners! Definitly will be back here again, everything with this great cafe was fantastic.
BRILLIANT. A great place to eat, very cosmoploitan venue, with brilliant food and service. Prices are great and this place is ideal for a quick bite to eat while in town. Would suggest the Big Manchester Breakfast....served all day...BRILL !!
I always find shopping very stressful and although Manchester is a lot more manageable than London, I still need a quiet place to seek refuge after visiting the madness that is TK Maxx. Café Metro was the perfect spot to do this.
It's not the classiest joint around but if you know that beforehand, you won't be disappointed with the standard of food, which is in fact rather average. There's something about it that feels a little undiscovered too. No one tell the students about the ridiculously cheap prices here because they will ruin it for the rest of us!
As I no longer live in Manchester, I've haven't been there for a while, but from what I remember they do an ace hot chocolate and their chips are scrummy.
Don't come here and expect the world, but do enjoy a quiet little corner of it.
Day trip to Manchester, had breakfast before arrival so upon arrival we wanted a quick snack before lunch. Great prices, super friendly staff and good food. Can’t complain!
Have eaten here now a few times and every time has been star rated food, excellent service and lovely staff always with a smile. Worth the money, every penny.
I have been coming here for over 40 years. I visited yesterday and it was the busiest I have ever seen. The waitress could not get round to us so I has to order at the till, waited longer than I ever have before. Did I mind? NO. The food here is amazing I have never once been disappointed and yesterday was no exception. Gorgeous just cooked food. Generous menu. Good price for quality. Friendly and calm atmosphere even at peak times. No one was complaining. The waitress was so polite and friendly. A simply stunning place and one I and my family always visit in Manchester, we never eat anywhere else. Keep up the excellent work and keep smiling. Your place is amazing.
The food was loverly for a cafe as it was freshly cooked and hot when it arrived. This is the first time that I have had their full breakfast as it was full and kept me going for the whole day.
I am giving a 5 star as I don't really have anything to complain for. The prices are very reasonable, so you cannot expect the food to be served like fine dining, I mean presentation. I found to the staff to be fine as well. We went 4 adults and one toddler in between the Christmas and New Year's. We are all used to fine places but found this cafe nice as it's not overpriced and the food is good, portions are more than reasonable as well. I think people forget that this is a cafe. If you don't like the surroundings or other service issues, you are more than welcome to go elsewhere and pay more.
Such an amazing place. I've been here many times since my first visit back in the early 2000's when I first moved to manc for university, and ever since then me and my family have stopped in for lunch whilst out shopping everytime we have visited. With the recent news that the place I'd closing over Christmas 2022, it's sad and disappointing, this was the 1 cafe we would always go to for out mid shopping break.
Food was lovely,very tasty, cafe a lot bigger inside than it looks outside, staff great, helpful and attentive, will definitely go back, will be one of my go to places now
I've been going to Cafe Metro for over 10 years and have always enjoyed a great breakfast there. If you're looking for somewhere to eat (or even just a coffee), consider visiting this lovely family-run cafe rather than a chain.
Just had lunch here, just off the beaten track and what a find. Fab Lavazza coffee, everything fresh, no packets here. Clean, plenty of space as well, good menu . I'll be back next time , the music had your feet tapping to . Smashing place
Always go here for breakfast or lunch when visiting Manchester for a shopping trip. BLT's and burgers are gorgeous and great value. Their breakfast is fantastic value, plenty on the plate and cheap.
