I walked past La Boca looking for something small to eat with a friend. I was impressed with this quiet and intimate space in the middle of the busy northern quarter. Having just come back from Madrid I was enjoying the lovely tapas and the vibe was just right, The one member of staff was super welcoming and I will be back with my partner soon. Just simply wonderful!

Lovely new café bar and charcuteria hidden on a side street the the Northern Quarter. Serves great coffee and teas, with a unique selection of beers and wines. With vegan options. They have a nice selection of pinxtos and the staff are friendly and keen to answer questions.

Hidden down the side of Oklahoma in the  alleyway of turner Street,  La Boca is humble in size and offers a wide range of tapas, pintxos, with many vegan and vegetarian options, and charcutaria (cured meats) Colourful artwork from a local Manchester artist hangs upon the exposed brickwork, giving La Boca a relaxed yet stylish look. Very welcoming staff with a vast knowledge of Spanish cuisine will make you feel at home whether you're eating out or just fancying a quick bite to eat on your lunch break We ate: Tortilla and aioli on bruachetta with sweet potato, beetroot hummus and balsamic. One topped with jamon. Very delightful tasters to nibble on whilst enjoying a drink, the Spanish tortilla was beautiful Boquerones in and rose oil vinegar. These lil' guys looked like a anchovies but were not salty, instead very fragrant from the rose oil. Served with sourdough, they were delicious Sharing platter from @labocaham I cannot recommend this enough Jamon serrano Iberico Gran Reserva, salchichon Iberico de cebo, chorizo Iberico de Bellota y cabecero de lomo, award winning semi cured manchego & queso de Mahon, Cortijo marinated olives, pepinillos, organic membrillo and picos bread sticks The cabecero de lomo was my absolutely favourite, the texture was melt-in-the-mouth and it was so delicious. I was lucky enough to be given more to take home! These cheeses were equally tasty, and there was quince to spread on 😋 Words can't describe how good all the meats were, James take a bow! By the way they also offer a vegan sharing platter Follow @robbie.reviews on Instagram for more

If small, intimate, and authentic are your vibe, you need to head to la Boca. Really tasty tapas, and a lovely, small selection of wines and IPA. If you share my love of places that are genuine, welcoming and small enough to feel like you’ve just found a hidden gem, then you will love this place. Next time we might just go straight in for the sharing platter. But the tapas we were tempted by totally lived up to our high expectations. Perfect. Well done to the owners who have created something really lovely.

Visited this place yesterday for the first time. Absolutely superb from the simple but very authentic interior, to the outstanding food and wine, made all the more enjoyable by the very friendly owner and incredibly reasonable price. Nearest thing I’ve come to outside of Barcelona and Malaga for great authentic food. This is now our favourite place to eat in Manchester. Janet.

Lovely bar, the staff and the owners clearly care about what they do here and have some lovely selections both in the bar and the kitchen. This bar feels like an oasis of calm in an area that sometimes can be full of generic mayhem. Iv only been in the evening but I could imagine this place would be a good spot for a working lunch if your in Manchester and looking for somewhere to flip the laptop up or have a casual meeting away from the office. Went here wednesday last week with a friend for lunch and the food was delicious, coffee amazing, the decor is gorgeous and the ladies that served us were so friendly and just plain terrific. We both work in hospitality and we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend! It's small and off the beaten track so I think many people haven't discovered it yet but if you are looking for somewhere to eat you should deffo try here! :)

Super bar with quality drink choice and excellent jamon. The owners of the bar are lovely. They have another bar in the Monton area. That played a big part in Monton becoming a happening suburb. They certainly deserve some success in the northern quarter also.
