The English Rose Bakery

We’ve been buying from English Rose Bakery for a while now and they’re always fantastic. The macarons are delicious and the service is super friendly and easy-going. They also provided macarons for my wedding and they went down such a storm that the guests had devoured them before my wife and I could grab one! Hugely recommended for any occasion.

My Husband purchased a Macaron Masterclass for us to do together, as I’ve always wanted to master the French macaron after all of my previous attempts have failed. Emma was a perfect host and teacher. She was so lovely and patient and really clearly explained everything. She supervised us making our own batch and we got to decorate some pre-made shells. The atmosphere for the whole day was so relaxed and friendly. There are copious amounts of tea/coffee if you want them, and the facilities are very clean. We had a fabulous time, it was more than worth the drive from Yorkshire! I would recommend this class to anyone who wanted to learn a foolproof method for macaron making! Thank you so much, Emma!

We used The English Rose Bakery to make our wedding Cake/Macaron tower and it was absolutely perfect. The colours were sensational and matched our decor and colour scheme perfectly. Our guests comments about the tower have been amazing, saying it was so original and they have never seen a ‘cake’ like it, such a good idea and absolutely delicious 😋 every single macaron was eaten before the end of the evening, sadly I was late getting to them and I only had 1!!!! 🙈😄 The cake was also gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. Emma and Marie were a pleasure to work with very accommodating and helpful. They made decisions so easy to make and completely stress free. I will definitely use them again!!!! (Flowers were added to the cake by our chosen wedding decor company Oh So Boho.)

THANK YOU Emma for teaching us how to decorate a drip cake yesterday. I’ve waited quite a while to get on this course and was definitely not disappointed. The group was small enabling the very, very talented Emma to give individual tuition when needed. The relaxed atmosphere with friendly, like minded people giving each other encouragement was a lovely way to spend a Sunday. The results pretty amazing for a first attempt thanks to Emma and much praise given back home. Excellent day THANK YOU!

So pleased with the macaron stack that was made for my daughters birthday. We got to chose 5 flavours. All of which were delicious. So helpful from start to finish. We changed our ideas and nothing was too much trouble. We ended up with the perfect birthday 'cake' for a girl who doesn't like cake. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning

We had a fabulous afternoon making macarons with Marie & Emma! They were great hosts and showed us how to make the fool-proof French delights! We were given a demonstration of the steps and they imparted some great tips on how to get it right. Then we had the chance to make them ourselves! We were also shown the recipes to make the fillings and also samples some of the flavours from theirs pre-made macarons. They taught the workshop from this lovely cake shop (the name escapes me!) but their business is in central Manchester. We had such a great time and now feel confident in making our own ones! Thank you for such a lovely day!!
