The Next Chaptercafe

December 1, 2018. Newly opened this November, "The Next Chapter Cafe" is definitely an awakening to exciting, gratifying tastes from savory to sweet. A visitor enters from the front Bonnet Street sidewalk or through the intense, extensive Northshire Bookstore. As one breathes in mouth watering wafts of air and eyes delectablly fresh creations, it can be hard to choose*. After purchase one goes up on the elevator or stairs for seating within a spacious, natural light filled area to await personal delivery of one's order. Some tables are large enough for group luncheons/ breakfasts/early dinners. (Good idea to email ahead.) There's plenty of free parking in the parking lot surrounding the bookstore and on the street. Very easy by foot. Much traditional fare and creative flair deliciousness with locally sourced food continues from 'Nancy's hands' (and heart) for slow to quick bites AND catered affairs. Currently they're running on 'soft opening' hours of 8-5, seven days a week. If not continuing their tent fare at some of our local Farmer's Markets, we are very lucky to have this new establishment as a seven day a week reality smack dab in the middle of town. Bravo! Welcome! * Today I started with a moist Ginger-Pear muffin and Manchester water. The soups were ready before noon: the Butternut Squash Soup a fresh, smooth, sweet puree. The Corn Chowder I tasted was a 'must come back for' a whole bowl. It was herbed with a delightful South American touch and though smooth, I could recognize the fresh, sweet corn bits. Since you had some available, I couldn't resist a plate of Mushroom Torte! OMG, pretty and so much fresh flavor to be almost truffle-like special. Thank you. I also appreciate the free WiFi available yet I will not take advantage of your hospitality without eating and drinking! Your business must be supported!!!
