North Garden Restaurant & Lounge

I don't often give bad reviews especially to local businesses, but the food is a HUGE disappointment. I like the lively lounge environment and the servers are friendly, but all the food we ordered was terrible. For example, the vegetable lomein had no vegetables, just a pile of extremely greasy noodles with a couple pieces of cooked cabbage. The teriyaki beef and sweet ribs looked great, but literally tasted the same- totally bland. I think the problem might be the oil they use just covers up any real flavor. Anyway, I might return for a drink but will think twice before ordering food. Update; looking at some of the other reviews, confirming no veggies in the lomein and meat tasting like nothing. I too, remember eating here years ago and it being good. I think they must have changed some things..

Great food. Takeout is quick and easy. My wife and I go here weekly; so, I would definitely recommend awesome restaurant. The only reason I am dropping one star is because, approximately 1/3 - 1/2 the time veggies aren't cooked enough (on the verge of being raw); especially the broccoli (when it's not cooked enough) comes out still soaked in water and hard. Since my and I go there all the time; we feel that this id due to different cooks making it so, it's hit or miss. When they cook the vegetables correctly every time, I will bump the rating up to 'five stars'. Hope this helps. ✌️

This review is about food pickup. It does not reflect restaurant service or atmosphere. It has been a couple months since we have ordered from North Garden. I do realize prices on everything have gone up this year. I just feel the price was very high and the quality of food is down. What used to cost me around $50-55 was now $83 for the order. The food was ok, but not like what we are used to from North Garden. The pork fried rice was terrible. The generals chicken was small pieces that seemed more batter than actual chicken. The boneless spareribs were really dry and not much flavor. The crab rangoon was just the wanton wrap with very little filling. Egg rolls were still good. Will be going with New WaToy from now on…although their egg rolls are terrible. Way to salty. Maybe just just get food from WaToy and egg rolls from North Garden lol. They are right near each other. I hate to leave a bad review for one of our go to Chinese takeouts, but it is what it is.
