El Maguey Mexican Restaurant

Everything was fantastic! The chips were so fresh and good, I had the fajita taco salad and a side of rice, my fiance had the steak fajitas. Cheese dip was great too! Made over a 45 minute drive to come here because it's one of my fiances favorites and I can now see why. Can't wait to go back. Service was phenomenal as well!!!

I enjoyed the food but not the forced tip. This was take out and as a take out worker. I understand that tips sucks when you work that position. But I would of rather paid for the tip myself. Normally you would have had someone to talk with at take out and they could earn it but this person was to busy gossiping on others. The food was good but this is a first and last time for me visiting. If you wanted to force the tip, hike the price of food up and pay your servers more per hour. Do not force me to give some one a tip when all they did was gossip and then get a bag that another server put together and brought out to me. Sorry guys. That makes it my last visit there.

Solid Mexican fare in this casual but festive restaurant. Prompt and pleasant service! 🙋🏻‍♀️🎉 Great value! The California Burrito was amazing and it was the biggest burrito I've ever seen. Just a little minus point for the cleanliness or lack thereof: The menus were greasy, the chairs and tables were not wiped off and the floors were slippery.

We sat out on their patio, the weather was perfect. Service is usually very good but not always the friendliest. They aren't necessarily rude but busy getting the job done. I realize it's hard times finding enough workers, etc. I'm not complaining, only an observation over a long period of time of dining here. I would give a 5 if I felt more welcome as I do at various other Mx restaurants. I ordered their Mx version of Shrimp Cocktail and it was OUTSTANDING! Great flavor and LOADS of shrimp. I give a 5 for their food, overall.

The staff was friendly but overall not a great experience. The food lacked flavor in general. The salsa was super disappointing. It’s basically slightly seasoned tomato sauce. They also automatically put a 15% tip on the bill which annoying because it felt awkward. I tip well and would have tipped more but it forced the interaction. Sadly I can’t recommend it based on the food nor the experience as a whole

Sad, They are cutting back on the food in the to go order, ask for specific items. If Paying more for chips and salsa no problem, but not receiving them is a problem. Then getting charged 15% automatic for a to go order, then they should not cut back on the size of the food. Been a customer for over 10 years.
