One of the best fish mongers around Manchester.
Staff very friendly and always helpful.
Quite expensive but it reflects the quality of fish and service provided.
Freshly made sushi made in store daily. Sashimi grade tuna also available.
excellent fishmonger, no wonder there’s a queue when we visited :) the man was super helpful when we asked for the sashimi and oysters! he suggested which big piece of sashimi best to get and it was so fresh so fatty so sweet, absolutely beautiful! it weighed a little less than half kg which was good for 3-4 people, definitely plentyyyy for 2 people. you can eat oysters here too, affordably priced and they were huge!
Fantastic fish monger. Best in Manchester. Also does excellent deli things such as eggs, asparagus, gazpacho, Spanish black pudding etc. Also great sushi and sashimi and oysters on the table outside.
Out of the Blue Fishmongers is a sanctuary for seafood aficionados. Besides a plethora of fresh seafood, they also provide game, free-range poultry, and seasonal organic produce, ensuring a wholesome shopping experience. Their extensive range of deli products adds a unique charm, embodying a fusion of tradition and modernity that's rare to find.
Good Sashimi quality, tasty Salmon, Seabass( seabass is a surprise!!) and toro as well. It’s seems the toro is now available on everyday but not some people says only only Friday.
Parking is not easy ~_~
This is the fishmonger I’ve been looking for in Manchester. We bought fresh tuna for grilling with a Greek salad. Crab meat for making Thai crab cakes and ‘broken’ scallops for just over £1 because we could. Worth a 15 mins tram ride from St Peter’s Square any Saturday.
You can find fresh and nice sashimi-grade tuna here.
Sashimi is out of this world! It's so fresh, I haven't had such high quality sashimi in a long time. Top-notch!
Note: you need to ask the staff for sashimi as it's not displayed in the front end.
I was impressed by their selection of seafood. They have a wide variety of seafood available that I couldn’t find anywhere else in Manchester, such as sashimi fishes. The quality of the seafood was excellent and it was clear that they take great care in sourcing their products.
Nice fishmonger with a wide selection. It's not cheap (little is in Chorlton for some reason) but you can't fault the quality, service, and the shop is very clean.
