One of the best vietnamese restaurants in Manchester. It's a small place but turnover is pretty quick. However, best is to go early for lunch or dinner as tables fill up quickly and the queue starts forming.
I was here in December 2022 and loved the food so much, we went twice.
I am back again today and had to make the visit to eat there. The consistency in taste and flavour is still the same. Must try their special fried rice. For me the other dishes are complimentary but equally fantastic. Order their papaya salad as well please. Great appetiser!
We waited 20-25 minutes for a table but it was absolutely worth it. My boyfriend mentioned having been here ages ago & wanted to go again but each time we come, the lines are long - which made me want to go more.
We got a few starters to share:
King prawn taco, (2.5 out of 5)
Sweet and spicy glazed pork ribs (5/5)
Salt and pepper wings (5/5)
I definitely recommend the ribs and salt and pepper wings!
Mains:
Chilli beef with fried rice (4.5/5)
Hai Long bay bun special (5/5)
My bf got the chilli beef, the fried rice was beautiful, the chilli beef had a nice sauce and the meat was nice but I don’t think I’d personally get it myself
The hai Long hay Bun ( I replaced the noodles with pho noodles) was beautiful. The chef gives you a bowl full of chillies to add to your liking which was good as my spice tolerance isn’t the highest. I might be weird but I added hoisin sauce to mine as I’m obsessed and it was beautiful. Beautiful brother & amazing tender meat
The members of staff were all so nice, I have nothing negative to say about this experience whatsoever. The atmosphere was very cosy and you could clearly see everyone was enjoying their food as they all had smiles on their face and said nothing but thank you’s to the members of staff. I will definitely be back!!!
Get here early to avoid queues and I can understand why! Excellent food..great choice for GF and service friendly and efficient. Highly reccommend. Great value for money.
Went yesterday evening. Honestly one of the best Asian foods I've had. The staff are amazing and the food 😍 so cheap too. I would so highly recommend that you book in. It gets really busy
Great place. I went with my 12 Yr old daughter and we both loved it. It's been on my list for a long time - why did I wait so long? We went during lunch time and it was packed (I'd call ahead to reserve a table). We ordered Vietnamese tacos, lemongrass pork skewers, spring rolls - all delish! We also ordered squid- would give this a miss next time as they were really overdone. Peach ice tea was lovely to wash it all down. Will be back with the rest of the family.
Amazing food at great prices. I had the bun bo hue and the broth is exactly what I needed and tasted divine. Katsu curry was different, more on the sweet side but the pho definitely stole the show. Highly recommend getting the spring rolls too, the nuoc cham was really good. We had to wait 30mins before getting a table on 6pm on a friday night and there was a long queue behind us so definitely recommend reserving beforehand
This place is absolutely fantastic,
It came highly recommended and I'd 100% recommend it!
It's authentic, tasty and great value! Our actually favourite restaurant atm, we've been four times and it just gets better and better!
They have a brilliant, varied menu with plenty of options for everyone with Vegan options being absolutely unbelievably good!
Dietary requirements absolutely catered for with the staff more than happy to help.
Easy to find and there's usually a queue to get in, which is really worth waiting in! 10/10
They were turning people away at the door because it was so busy, and from the first bite I understood why! Food was so good. I love the flower wall too.
Fabulous Vietnamese restaurant. Food is truly delicious 😋 Very affordable and plenty of food for the money. Prompt, friendly service. Would book a table as it gets very busy and it's only a small restaurant. Will definitely be returning.
After eating at 8 Vietnamese restaurants in Europe, Pho Cue was the only restaurant that moved my Vietnamese wife's tastes buds. She loved Pho Cue.
Highlights from my wife.
- Pho: 80% incomparison to pho in vietnam, authentic flavours, but she said it needs more nuoc mam.
- Bbq lemongrass pork skewers are 100% authentic and are a must try!
Highlights for me.
- Vietnamese iced coffee: extremely delicious, tastes exactly the same as that you can find in Vietnam, just not as strong (which is a plus, those who have been to Vietnam know what I mean)
- Katsu Chicken Curry: Fusion dish, which tasted great, I got hints of similar flavours from the Pho broth. Delicious.
£93.60 for 13 items (7 food items, 5 drinks), which is an average cost of £7.20 per item or £18.72 each between 5 people. But had 2 people not orders 2 dishes, the cost per person would have come down. Fantastic value!
Pho Cue is one of the few restaurants you will find on the UK that is close to the restaurants in Vietnam, especially when it comes to the traditional dishes such as Pho, Bun Thit Nuong etc
