The Gherkin

Finally got to use our Christmas Present gift vouchers for their Sunday roast and it was just as good as I hoped. The food was absolutely perfect and whilst initially the kids were horrified to realise they were eating vegan they left raving about their meal. As important as food quality though was the loving inclusive ambiance which made you feel like you were putting on your favourite jumper. If I lived more locally I would probably go there all the time but after visiting will definitely may the journey to come again, and bring my vegan buddies. Well done Gherkin Gang

Stayed at the Gherkin AirBnb for a month and loved every bit of the place. Jamie and the staff are really friendly and make you feel at home. Special mention to Pickles who was great company throughout my stay. Amazing parties at the pub downstairs with the best vegan food. Really loved the Tofish and chips and the VLT as well. 10/10 recommend the Gherkin. Looking forward to visiting again!

Wow were do I start Amazing place full of happy souls, very nice place with lots on the menu. I am not vegan but that didn’t stop me from eating the Sunday roast it’s was perfect in fact the best we have ever had Honestly. Mouth watering gravy with mushroom wellington and roast potatoes the service was really good we went today which is pay what you want paid £40 for 2 drinks and two dinners and the other half took a cake. I wouldn’t insult them by not paying full price as a Sunday as it was worth every penny and more. Unbelievable right on our door step, know more driving to town for over price food not even a touch on this this place.

What a lovely time myself and My friend had at the gherkin recently. We’ve been wanting to visit for a while & now we’re so glad we did! Food was lovely, the staff was really friendly and helpful when assisting us what to pick from the menu. In fact the there was staff attentive the whole night, nothing was too much trouble & the desserts served on the cute little plates just topped off the experience! Excellent atmosphere, we will be back again soon for sure. Thanks guys 😊

What a magical place. I've been coming here for a few years now and I'm always blown away by how great it is. The breakfast is out of this world, coffee is done to perfection. Huge portions too. Adds lots to the community with film nights, music gigs and all sorts. Very impressed with service. Most of all you feel like you're at home with the eclectic decor and welcoming atmosphere.
