Old Bag Of Nails Pub

The building itself was a bit hard to get to being in a dark parking lot with other businesses around it. Parking lot is a bit small and very dimly lit. A lot of the spots said they were reserved for the other businesses. Not many to choose from if you don't know. Anyways.. Once inside we were seated right away and had our drinks ordered. Appetizer ordered. Food ordered. Waitress was was very attentive. Never waited for a refill. It was my spouses birthday and she got him carrot cake. Wished him a happy birthday (we said thanks you too 😞🙄) I wish I could remember her name. She deserves recognition. But I would request for her next time we go. I had wngs, spouse had fish tacos, kids had chicken tenders and chicken quesadillas All In All: Good Experience.

Okay I'll try to be nice. Why is this restaurant still open? I was last here five years ago and it was the worst dining experience of my life. I will say that back then they had enough respect for their customers that they actually comped part of the meal after we expressed our displeasure with our dining experience. So I went back on Sunday. The main dining room was completely empty save for people drinking at the bar. Ordered fish and chips. 35 minutes later my meal arrived. The chips were inedible, chewy and overcooked, they seemed as though they had been in the deep fryer several times before they were served to me. The fish, while not overcooked, was not crispy enough to pick up and eat by hand as fish and chips are intended to be served or prepared. Absolutely no service from the waitress. And it was so cold in the restaurant that it ruined our dining experience from the start. I will guarantee that I never return. I could have had an awesome steak on the grill for way less than their deep fried swill. Also, I didn't have time to complain because I was late for work. I guess people just go their to drink, not eat.

We had a very nice family dinner there. Everyone found something they like on the menu. It was a nice atmosphere where we were able to have great conversations. The food was delishish and nice portions. We have eaten at a few of these Old Bag of Nails. Each one seems to be unique and just as nice.we will probably eat there in the future again.

We ate there on a Thursday afternoon. It has always been one of our favorites and it did not disappoint us on this visit. The food was absolutely fantastic. Our server was incredible. We had the best time. We have had fish and chips in England and this is the closest we have found on this side of the ocean.
