Longhorn Steakhouse

Prior to my visit here, if you would have asked me the chances of rating a restaurant chain 5 stars, I would have told you it was essentially impossible. The way chain restaurants put together their menus and food in today's market is generally uninspired, microwaved, and too generic to warrant any strong recommendation. Well, I'm not sure what to tell you, but this particular Longhorn in this particular city is getting things done right. The menu wasn't too big (though I imagine that's on purpose) but what they put on there, they do very well. I had a sirloin which was perfectly seared and way better than a sirloin had any business to be. My wife had tasty salmon on a bed of rice with asparagus that might have been the second best asparagus I'd ever had. Prices were reasonable, food was good, and the staff was nice. We waited a bit longer for our food than we should have, but it wasn't excessive enough to knock a star off. I've always blown past these places imagining they were another Texas Roadhouse. It appears that they are indeed a cut above that fare. I'll definitely visit another on of these places in another city and see if this one was an anomaly, or if this chain is just that good.

Dining in has always been fine, however take out is another story. The staff is always nice but the food..not so much. My husband and I have given take out a few chances but unfortunately we will not do it again. A previous time my husband ordered a baked potato and they sent us a raw potato in tin foil..tonight he ordered his steak medium well and received it rare. There was no mention on the website about the Brussel sprouts having honey butter on them so we can’t eat those now either because of our dietary restrictions (plus they costed extra) Really a shame and super disappointing.

Excellent flo steak (juicy filet mignon)as expected! Doesn't ever disappoint! I wanted a lobster tail but they ran out if lobstah!! Dang it...but that just goes to show you how delicious and perfect they are! The staff are amazing and our waitress was spot on!!! This is one of the better locations and we look forward to going back!

Family went after a college graduation. Enjoyed the meal. 2 of the party ordered the steak tips med rare. One came out med rare, the other med well. Apart from that the meal was done correctly. One person ordered the shrimp ( good amount on skewers), another the parmesan encrusted chicken and another chicken dish. A couple of desserts that were shared.(pictured). Service was wonderful and despite the restaurant being busy, we didn't feel rushed.
