Only popped in for a takeaway coffee and a croissant, first time meeting the guy serving yet instantly felt welcomed and warmed. After leaving and tasting the coffee I was impressed even further. Great coffee great staff.

Nice place, friendly staff, family run cafe. Great food. "The Kitchen" is near the top of the cliff on the north Kent coast and the views across the North sea are amazing. I had a full English breakfast, there was plenty to eat and the price was good, it was delicious. I really like the ethos of this place. Its reassuring to know there are still some geniune humanitarians in the world. I would like to thank the owners for helping make the world a better place to live in.

this is a must visit for those who care. absolute steal for £3 yummy full English breakfast at the sea front cafe. But is the amazing work this community cafe is doing which got our vote. all food served here would have been thrown away, but they collect and reinvent it avoiding waste. they serve everyone and bring communtity together through food. there are shelves of food up for grabs to further their feed the neighbourhood efforts. all well presented and served with a smile, cheeky joke and a heart felt welcome to all. had visit an old friend feel to it.

Dropped by The Kitchen today for a quick lunch while I did some work. Stunning view out to sea and clean, well ventilated space with clear rules adhering to guidelines. All staff are warm and welcoming and this created a nice atmosphere for customers to also be warm and welcoming. I ordered the tagliatelle with spiced sausage ragu and it was fresh and delicious. From the flavours it tasted like the sauce had been made from fresh tomatoes that day. Loved it. Totally recommend this place! For my drink and meal it was a tiny amount, but The Kitchen operates as a charity so has a 'pay as you feel' policy with anything extra going to charity. I very happily paid more than double the charge and felt I had somehow gotten away with a first class dining experience for less than a dry Starbucks sandwich and a water. I will be back!

We have always enjoyed visiting CT kitchen However today's visit was less than pleasant. After ordering lamb fillet with roast potatoes and vedg, the waiter informed us in advance it would be medium raw but when it arrived and we tasted it we realised that medium raw lamb was not to our taste. We simply asked if it could be cooked a bit longer. The cook returned with the lamb and seemed upset that we asked for it to be cooked a bit longer and she pointed out what the menu said. The way she handled it made us feel very comfortable.14/1/22 Rebuttal..there was no discussion with the cook, she just loudly told us off and we listened. We at no point discussed what was served with other customers although they all heard what the cook had to say. After that we lost our appetite paid and left.

Great food. Great coffee. Great price. Even better ethos. Menu changes daily dependant on what's available. Already lost count of how often I've been for lunch.
