This is a great takeaway for if you're in Margate for a couple of days and want a more chilled evening in one night. The food is delicious, and it's definitely the best takeout I've had in Margate. I can't fault it!

The reviews were so positive that we decided to order and we were not disappointed. The food was fresh and lovely. We went for our usual favourites as we did not have a menu, so I thought I'd post it here in case it helps others (menu was brought with our food). Payment is cash only.

One of best Chinese takeaway meals I have had in a while!! I don't normally bother with reviews but felt the need as thoroughly enjoyed it. Lovely tasty hot food when arrived. Cooked to perfection. Very polite driver and food arrived early. Thank you for your service.

My normal Chinese was shut so had to try elsewhere, I wasn't disappointed, food was excellent, staff were really friendly. Will definitely be coming back .

As someone who comes from Asian heritage, having lived in Hong Kong for 10 years and Australia for 15 years, both of which have excellent standards in Asian cuisine; you can be sure that I do know good Chinese food when I taste it... Well I think that New Shanghai is the best Chinese food I’ve tasted in my time living in England. This tastes like the proper Chinese food I got when I was living in Asia Pacific. Well done, New Shanghai. I honestly feel a food writer should be jotting this place down.
