Went for lunch with friends and it was marvellous. Great ambiance, friendly efficient staff, super menu choicès at most reasonable prices. I had delicious scallops followed by grilled salmon - one of the best I've ever had and the blackcurrant brulee was sublime. A most enjoyable time and I would certainly recommend it to friends. I intend to come back from France again to resavour the food.

Having a gluten and dairy intolerance means that eating out can be a total nightmare! However not at Ascoughs ... they went out of their way to ensure I knew exactly what I could eat. I had at least two choices from the starter and main dinner menu. Whilst nothing on the desert menu was suitable, the chef came up with a one off concoction and it was beautiful-my favourite course of the three! Thanks for making eating out both enjoyable and hassle free.

Having just moved to the area this place has been constantly recommended and we were not disappointed. It's the best by far. We could have been dining on a cruise. It's not our usual type of dining but I was amazed how delicious and plentiful all the food is. We are both vegetarian but loads to choose from and enjoy. We will be back time and time again. Staff excellent. All of them. So good. Thank you. Worth moving to Harborough for 🙂

Went for lunch time meal and what a meal it was. Absolutely delicious!! Had to be sneaky and check the Internet to see what some of the items on the menu were. I'm not that cultured hahahaha. We had 2 course meal with some extras, so expect 40 a head. Totally worth it.

The overall experience was positive. However, although we booked a table 2 weeks in advance over the phone, when we arrived they couldn't find the reservation and we were made to wait about 10mins until a table got set for us. The staff tried their best, but it felt there were long gaps of waiting between starters, main meals and deserts Luckily 4 of us had a lot to talk about and waiting wasn't too bad. Apart from that, the food and drinks quality, presentation and taste were great and scrumptious!

Stunning food served in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. This is a bit of a hidden gem within Market Harborough, well known within the town for offering very high quality food at great value. There were five of us eating from the Christmas menu and not one dish was anything less than perfect. Over lunch they only have one sitting and so service is relaxed but attentive; we stayed for over two hours enjoying three courses. Sublime. Booking advised though.

Amazing meal and very good value for money. The service was prompt and friendly with good menu suggestions made the staff ensuring that drinks were always available and more than worth the service charge. The quality of the food was superb with all 3 courses being an excellent, my steak was cooked perfectly with so much flavour and the Tiramisu ice cream being a nice way to finish the meal.

Just had the three course lunch (with wine and a few extras) as a wedding anniversary treat. Excellent service, food, atmosphere and decor. The food presentation was first class and proportions generous. We are noted, among our family and friends for being 'big eaters' but we couldn't have managed any more.

This place is excellent, really value for money and the food is of a much higher standard than their prices suggest. We had 2 courses, petit fours, 2 coffees and two drinks for £50. The starter was 3 scallops with taramasalata made with the roe and a brie croquette. It's delicious but perhaps a potato croquette would have been more suited to the scallops. For mains we had the chicken and pork. Again, really delicious. It was excellent and the service is very good. It was also very covid aware. Highly recommended.
