We enjoyed a great meal here recently. Excellent and friendly waitress and the food was delicious. Their fish dishes are always fab, as is the locally sourced duck breast which my husband had. The brownie with salted caramel ice cream is also amazing. We often stop off for a quick drink too after a walk. Looking forward to the play area opening soon.
Excellent sunday roast. The bannoffe pie was a bit to hard at the bottom of the glass needed a hammer and chisel to brake it. Staff was very friendly service good
Nice little village pub just outside of Marlborough down a nice quiet country road. it was really busy when we got there and had other tables reserved also for a Saturday afternoon was lovely. staff friendly and helpful because no room inside the manager put the heaters on under canopy which was nicely decorated. Plenty of seating. We are going to go again to try food. Lovely atmosphere and a big children's play area. Would recommend
We really enjoyed our lunch here, I would absolutely return if we were in the area. Thanks for the amazing service! The ginger beer fish and chips are highly reccommend. Thanks for a lovely lunch
Fabulous pub. Walked in without booking. The landlady and staff were very welcoming and the pub was dog friendly. Food was amazing and the interior cosy and traditional. Great pub after a walk on Ridgeway or Wansdyke
After a long day of showing our American friends around places surrounding Marlborough, this pub was the icing on the cake!..Friendly staff, food was excellent, better than we had expected infact..prices were absolutely value for money considering the portion sizes and quality. We would definitely recommend Oddfellows to anyone who was considering a 5* service with excellent food! Bubble and Squeak, lamb and bacon burger, haddock, salmon and cod fishcake with lemon and dill sauce..wonderful!
I can't rate the food as we only stopped in for drinks. Great beer well kept. Lovely relaxing beer garden with swings and climbing frame for our young daughter. Friendly efficient staff, and although we didn't have our dog with us, I could see that dogs are very welcome here.
We booked in for 16 of us, a big family meal last weekend, and did a pre-order for the food. The service was brilliant, food delicious and really generous portions. Kids loved the playground and there were some beautiful walks nearby to walk off all that food! We would definitely go there again.
Great little country pub with a horse racing theme/feel. There’s a new (as of 2018) children’s play area outside which is a bonus, and some outdoor seating to go with it. Inside there are a few connected rooms with a total of ~10 tables of various sizes. Wadworth ales are on tap along with the usual selection of lagers.
The food menu is long and has something for everyone. The scampi was excellent.
Well worth a visit.
Amazing food! I mean outstanding! HUGE portions (go for the light plate if you don't have a big appetite!) A limited menu, which is good - better quality across streamlined choices. They have daily Specials too, as I understand. My fellow diner had the Mussels plat du jour and was very, VERY happy with the dish!!
The pub itself is cosy, traditional with modern touches. Small car park though, so get there early for lunch!
Very friendly and competent staff. Even though the pub was quiet, there was a good atmosphere. Best fish and chips we've had since arriving in the country 😋.
Very nice cozy pub. Feels very comfortable. Great place to go for a meal and a pint. Food was fantastic. However, I felt that the service was not authentic and I was not too pleased to see that the sauce I was offered cost 2.50 extra plus there was an automatic service charge added to the bill that was not mentioned. Perhaps a little bit of greed by plumping up the final price without showing it on the menu item! Pity because it spoilt a perfect impression.
