Our recent visit to Pelican Inn left us truly impressed and utterly satisfied. From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional – warm, welcoming, and attentive. It set the perfect tone for what was to come. Now, let's talk about the food. It was nothing short of a culinary delight! Each dish we savored was a masterpiece in flavor and presentation. The chefs here clearly have a passion for their craft, and it shines through in every bite. From appetizers to dessert, every course was a delightful journey for our taste buds. The attention to detail and use of fresh, quality ingredients were evident in every dish. Kudos to the entire team at Pelican for creating such a memorable dining experience. We left with full hearts and satisfied palates. If you're looking for a place to indulge in top-notch cuisine and impeccable service, look no further. We'll definitely be returning for more exquisite meals!

I've now visited the Pelican Inn twice, both times for evening meals. The food has been excellent both times and all of my party, including two tweens, has enjoyed their meals. The menu is extensive with plenty of pub favourites and they have a good kids menu too. The ale selection is not huge but I've always found something I enjoy, which is good enough for me. It's got plenty of tables but, on our experience, does get busy so we would definitely book in advance. We will definitely return.

Visited on a Sunday - great selection on the menu, difficult to make a choice! Loved the gravy served with the roast. Plenty of food and the desserts were really lovely too. Happily visit again and brilliant we could bring our dog too!

We chose the Pelican to meet family for lunch. It was a Sunday so the menu was a bit more limited so went for a lamb roast. Very tasty but a little fatty. Daughter had the lasagne which she loved. Puddings were yummy! Friendly staff and good service. Wouldn't hesitate returning.

Great place to dine, drink and stay. Awesome value for money coupled with a good, consistent offering of fresh food and vast variety of drinks. There’s a new manager in place I think, thankfully! with a solid view to drive the business forward and build back up their reputation and slightly wayward customer focus. 10/10 , A⭐️ operator with drive for a successful future.

It was my first visit to the Pelican Inn. We had a work lunch during the week, and we were a group of 6 people. The place is very nicely set out and well decorated. The staff were friendly and fast with taking our orders. The food was great and not too badly priced. Will definitely visit again.

We booked for a birthday lunch having heard the recent reviews were good. All of us had a lovely lunch and the pie I had was fantastic. Great to see there are still some pubs with chefs who know how to cook. Some grand wines as well on your list. Thanks you

We had lunch here a couple of weeks ago. We have called in before on summer days sitting outside so this was the first time sitting inside. We went with our golden retriever and it was very dog friendly. The waitress was very friendly. It was busy so pleased we had booked. Lovely atmosphere. I am vegan and they kindly adapted their vegetarian sandwich for me and it was delicious. The quality and quantity and atmosphere made this very good value for money. We will definitely return.

Went to the Pelican for the first time in many years today. We are regularly visitors to another of Liam and his partners other pubs (Crown and Horns) so we’re expecting great things!! We were not disappointed, everything about our visit was top notch!! Wonderful venue, food and staff, this is such a wonderful place to have a lunch or evening meal. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, if you look for a great place to meet, eat and be served, then look no further I am sure it won’t be long before we we choose to revisit the outstanding eatery!!
