This was our first visit to this lovely pub restaurant in Marple and we weren't disappointed. The pub has a large car park which was much appreciated as we aren't familiar with the area. Inside the pub was cosy and well furnished and the staff were very attentive. We ordered steak, ale and mushroom pie with chips and fish and chips both of which were excellent. The gravy that came with the pie was heavenly! The portions are quite large so we reluctantly didn't manage to finish our meals. Sadly I forgot to take any photos as the food looked so good that I was too eager to get tucked in!

I absolutely love the sunday lunch here. It's my favourite ever. The gravy is fabulous, as is the cauliflower cheese. It's always very busy, so you need to prebook.
I've had a meal here during the week, which was nice,but to me, it's the sunday roast that is exceptional.

My friend and I arrived last minute on a busy Sunday lunch time on the off chance there would be a table.
Staff were warm, friendly and really accommodating.
We both had a Sunday lunch - the food and service was fantastic.
Will definitely return there again.

We’ve just had the best meal and service for my partner’s 60th Birthday. There was a wedding reception in the new extension but it didn’t in anyway distract from our great experience in the restaurant. Genuinely warm, friendly and attentive staff and absolutely top notch food. Thank you for making our evening so special

Thank you so much to Lucie and everyone at The Crown who made our wedding day so special last Friday, it was fabulous from beginning to end. The food was absolutely amazing everyone commented on it. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were wonderful. I would recommend The Crown to anyone who is looking to get married, we had our ceremony there too so everything under one roof. Attended my nieces 21st birthday here last week.
Nice pub good event room decent location
Great service. Only negative was the amount of food we had the canopies menu which was nice but for the money spent not nearly enough.
Good night had by all though.

Lovely Sunday lunch. Includes gorgeous nut roast for vegetarians. Excellent quality and value. The extension can feel a bit soul-less but it was busy in the main restaurant. Highly recommended.

Once again, another fantastic meal. Great service and always a nice atmosphere. Loved the King prawn starter. The Award winning winning pie went down well with the hubby and the chicken burger my son had was huge.

We had chips and some pints here while we ordered takeaway elsewhere. The vibe was nice and the chips were hot and delicious. We missed dinner for the evening because we arrived at 6:15 and the last table they seat is at 6 PM on a Sunday.
