Great small real ale pub. Always a good selection of beers, cider too. Lots of great beers in bottles to take home. Visit you won't be disappointed. A "dog bar" is there and once your dog has sampled you won't be able to pass without getting dragged in.šŸ•

Great atmosphere great beer and great owners, everything you would want from a pub. One of the best places I’ve ever been for a couple of pints

Just a quick review as it is very clear this pub is already well established & appreciated for the quality of its beers! The cask tried were excellent, staff were lovely & friendly & all I can say is ensure you find on any visit to Marple!( well served by buses from Stockport & only a short distance from the train station with the bonus it's downhill after a beer!)

It has taken us a while, but it's definitely worth a smile. The water feature is possibly a mistake but the local beers were great. A lovely little jungle made this a super bundle We will definitely go again and recommend you do the same.

Came across this little gem of a pub after a walk into Marple, and what a discovery. If the Prancing Pony in Huckleberry seemed like your kind of place then you'll likely enjoy this. Good selection of beers on tap and a decent fridge.

It's a "micro pub" with 2 floors, the lower has a fireplace. Dogs allowed, all that I've met there very well behaved. The clientele seems to be a tiny community in itself, and they as well as the staff are welcoming and kind. The ales here are top notch.

Regularly changing selection of solid ales, reasonably priced. Strong range of whiskies, ciders too. Proper jovial pub atmosphere. Cracking little covered beer garden/smoking area out the back, with a heater. Loads of board games downstairs. Go!
