17/06/23:.as the name suggests, right on the river. Lovely pub with a good selection of craft ale. Had a really good pork pie too. Had a range of Lilleys ciders, which went down well.

Perhaps the most professional or at least clinical pub in Marsden, if that’s what you’re looking for — the upstairs area is quite nice with a good view (dependant on where you’re sat I’m sure)

Called in for bao brothers 23. Really nice buns, and the salt and pepper chips were really tasty. The Yorkshire blonde is a nice pint too.

This is just a great pub, situated in a scenic position next to the river in the centre of Marsden. A fantastic choice of real ales including Ossett stable real ales as well as having a very well stocked bar depending on your choice. Seating both inside & out with an interesting food menu served from the upstairs kitchen. My advice would be to check kitchen opening times as on the day visited food started at 16.00hrs but was delicious.

I mean the fact that they have Bao Bros bao buns makes it amazing but it's also a really cosy and friendly pub.

Been coming here for years on bike rides and hikes. Great little pub with a nice range of beers on tap. Usually have something new on each time I go. Lovely food served by the in-house BaoBros23 kitchen, the highlight of our weekend hike was stopping here before descending back in to Huddersfield. Nice seating area upstairs with tables, and plenty of outdoor seating too. Always a popular busy place.

For someone who's not into pub food cos lets face it, most of them have the same old same old menu..toad in the hole, fish and chips etc...this pub has surprised me in a good way. Very exciting and yummy menu and sooo well priced. I will be coming back for more!!

Great venue in a wonderful location, just a shame the lad behind the bar looked like he’d have rather been anywhere else in the world. Top choice of beers.
