Best pie and chips! Always come here when visiting Matlock. Friendly & welcoming staff and clean well laid out table area. Even gave dog a sausage! Excellent value for money.

Lovely fish n chips. Gluten free was poached fish and chips not batter but looked good. Friendly service, clean and accommodating for wheelchair user and furry friend.

We met here prior to starting a bike tour . What great staff ! Nothing was too much trouble . We all ordered food at different times due to us meeting but they never hassled us to leave . Asked if we wanted more drinks etc and let us all pay separately. They never made us feel we were taking up tables or in the way

Excellent visit, particularly enjoyed the fact there were adult small portions, homemade quality food, quick and friendly service.

Had lunch here today fish chips and mushy peas, fish was lovely batter was nice and crispy peas were good too however a little tight on the chip portion and too many hard crunchy bits in there too partner was well happy with her small adult fish cake chips and peas although her portion of chips was slightly larger than a full sized adult portion which baffled me. Also don’t leave your customers sat outside waiting for service for 15 minutes like you did today I was just about to get up and go elsewhere. Overall nice atmosphere decent food but portions could be better given the prices being charged.
