Booked a table for a large group with just a couple of minutes warning. We were accommodated and made to feel welcome by a friendly landlord. Traditional menu with a wide range of gluten free foods and great range of drinks. Large portions of tasty food all brought out together. Thank you so much for a lovely meal.

Stopped here for dinner tonight with the family. Staff were fantastic but especially the chef who came out of the kitchen for a chat with us, absolutely lovely lady and made our evening. The food was amazing! Everything was cooked to order and it was delicious! We will definitely return when we next stay in Matlock

Just got back from here, we have had one of the best steaks we've had in a long time, with a homemade peppercorn sauce, the dessert we chose was After Eight Cheesecake with whipped cream again absolutely beautiful food. It was our first visit, but we shall most definitely be back.

We were out walking and just googled a pub near by with food! Great find, so friendly nothing too much trouble and the food was wow 👌 awsome home cooked food, delicious! My partner had mixed grill and i had fillet steak and it was definitely butcher/farmshop meat so fresh. Definitely recomend people pay a visit! …
