Wasn't expecting much from this place but was pleasantly surprised. It was steak night and they had a massive party of over 20 people in which meant we had a 30 min wait, was all good from then on. It's not fine dining, but they don't pretend to be. We had a great deal of £25 for sirloin steak for two. Well cooked, no chewy bits. One thing I found a bit ridiculous was the mushroom was cut in half, and we got half each. The staff were friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend!
Good menu for vegetarians, and the staff are friendly. The service is good and the restaurant is comfortable and warm with a lovely fire in the bar area. It is pleasant to sit outside in the garden in summer on a warm day. One of my favourite places to eat in the area.
Stopped in for a quick burger and pint at about 6 on a Saturday. Busy family atmosphere with a friendly welcome by staff. Food arrived fast and disappeared just as quickly. A bit overgrown in the beer garden, but a nice countryside feel. Football match on the tv inside. Toilets clean.

Great little pub for food. It's a shame it's a (drive to) destination only as the beers are really nice to. Went for a couple of Sunday lunches now. The car park is ample and the children's play area out the back is great in the summer although it could do with a spruce up. (Seems to have been left to its own devices for a few years). Prices are reasonable for quality and portion size. Service is spot on. It's great to sit next to the fire and read a paper whilst the smell of a Sunday roast wafts through the bar.
I haven't been here for a while. I certainly won't be leaving it such a long time before I visit agai. We hadn't booked but staff were able to find us a table in the busy restaurant. There was a wide selection of foods in the menu. The portions were a good size and didn't disappoint. The staff were most polite, checking we were happy with our meals and apologising for interrupting our meal at these times. We will definitely return.
Good traditional pub. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We didn't try the food, but the menu looked reasonably priced.
My husband and i visited 12 july 18. Must say fantastic meal. Cooked to perfection. The service outstanding. Especially the waitreses who couldnt be more helpful to us. Definaterly coming back !!! Thankyou from mick and anita

Lots on the menu at reasonable prices including Pizza menu and takeaway fish n chips. Friendly pub atmosphere with looked-after real ales on tap.
