Popped in for lunch today with my mum. Fish, chips and peas for me - delicious! Vegetable lasagne for Mum - she loved it and what she didn't eat was boxed up for her to take home.
If like us you love a decent black coffee, this is the place to come. It was rich, dark, smelt divine and tasted even better! Service was excellent, the lady was attentive but not 'in your face'. Definitely a 10/10 experience and we will be returning.

Great pub! Amazing food and lovely staff! Only went for dinner so don't know about the rooms but if they're the same standard as the food then definitely recommend! I had seafood linguine and every ingredient on that plate was cooked to perfection. Big portions of quality grub š¤

Friendly staff and great food. We had tried to get bookings at several other restaurants but with no success. However glad we came here. They didn't mind our 2 small dogs sitting on the bench at the table and even fetched them a biscuit each. Would definitely go there again if we were in the area.

Great pub, really friends and welcoming staff when we went on Monday. Busy and good atmosphere. The food was delicious, good value, home cooked food, generous portions. Will definitely return. Menu in the pics as we couldnāt find the menu online before we went.

Unfortunately I couldnāt stay for a meal. With a baby screeching nearby and the general noise of the place it caused havoc with my tinnitus. Shame, it allows dogs and the menu suited me. Good selection of meals, part of my party stayed and enjoyed their food.
Please no babies, ruined my evening.

On holiday as a family of 5 and 2 dogs, have been twice, food really good, friendly staff and the Sunday roast was probably the best we've ever had. Definitely recommend

This pub is just up the hill from Morgan Porth beach. No sea view, but great place to relax with easy parking.
Our food was fantastic. I had the stack burger which is a double 6 oz, and added the chef chilly beef and jalapeƱos. This was probably the biggest plate of food I had In Cornwall, but the quality made it one of the most enjoyable as well.
This is pub food at its best, and we enjoyed it far more than our evening at Stien's Seafood Restaurant a few weeks ago.

Had the Sunday carvery on our visit beef cooked perfectly and cauliflower cheese should be in a michelin star restaurant but the roasties left a lot to be desired dry with tough out sides,other than that I enjoyed my visit good service pleasant atmosphere and good cornish beer would visit again when in the area.

Great place to visit. Ordered food for 5. Speedy service. Great food. Great portion sizes. Staff were pleasant. We stayed on their car park overnight in our Motorhome. Ā£20 for the night. When you order food they take the Ā£20 off the total of the bill. Highly recommend!!

We went for a Roast yesterday, and I must say it was delicious not sure if the chef is new, but far better than before, as we have eaten here a few times.will deffo be coming back for that delicious tasty roast and the gravy was amazing š š

We stopped at the Travellers Rest ( Tregarrian ) last night for an evening meal after a lovely day out, I normally do not write many reviews but I have made an exception as the food, atmosphere and staff made it an evening to remember well worth a visit, my wife had a Caesar salad and I a mixed grill which were cooked to perfection and the staff were polite and attentive. Needless to say we will definitely be returning.

Christmas Eve with Christmas songs and a visit from a Santaās Elf. Great Christmas meal of Turkey (other options available) roast parsnips and potatoes, red cabbage etc. Really festive and fun atmosphere. The staff were busy but friendly and always smiling. They made us feel really welcome. Would I go again? I certainly would. I can recommend this place to anyone either in a party or alone; with children or dogs or both. However if you want somewhere bland dull and non inclusive this is not the place for you.

Visited on Friday evening with our little boy whoās three years old. We got there at five, only to be told food does not start until 6. We ventured out to Lewinick lodge, which for the Ā£108, the food was far from great. We returned to Travellers rest on Saturday for lunch, and have to say, we paid less than half the price and the food was amazing. Great food and reasonable prices. Will be recommending this place to all friends and family who venture down to Cornwall frequently.

Fab lunch here today with my parents and young daughter. Great food, really friendly staff, and some wonderful kid-friendly touches - we loved the toy box and some carefully selected age appropriate toys, great high chairs and plastic plate for the little one. Highly recommended and we'll definitely go back!!

Called in on the off chance in Friday night for a table for two and they managed to accomodate us on table that was reserved but not for later in rhe evening .
I was undecided what to have but noticed the pie seemed to be popular so settled for that with veg and new potatoes . OMG it was delicious!!! My hubby had the steak and thoroughly enjoyed it too . He had the peanut butter stack and swore it was the best dessert heās ever had . If ever we go back to that area we will definitely visit the pub again.

Got to our B and B in Trivarrian and decided to see what was about walked for 2 mins and found the Hunters Rest . Fabulous pub wonderful staff amazing food great atmosphere.We spent our three evenings in here. Have been coming to Cornwall for many years . This was a great find . Can't wait to go back .
