We stopped at the Travellers Rest ( Tregarrian ) last night for an evening meal after a lovely day out, I normally do not write many reviews but I have made an exception as the food, atmosphere and staff made it an evening to remember well worth a visit, my wife had a Caesar salad and I a mixed grill which were cooked to perfection and the staff were polite and attentive. Needless to say we will definitely be returning.

Christmas Eve with Christmas songs and a visit from a Santa’s Elf. Great Christmas meal of Turkey (other options available) roast parsnips and potatoes, red cabbage etc. Really festive and fun atmosphere. The staff were busy but friendly and always smiling. They made us feel really welcome. Would I go again? I certainly would. I can recommend this place to anyone either in a party or alone; with children or dogs or both. However if you want somewhere bland dull and non inclusive this is not the place for you.
Popped in for lunch today with my mum. Fish, chips and peas for me - delicious! Vegetable lasagne for Mum - she loved it and what she didn't eat was boxed up for her to take home.
If like us you love a decent black coffee, this is the place to come. It was rich, dark, smelt divine and tasted even better! Service was excellent, the lady was attentive but not 'in your face'. Definitely a 10/10 experience and we will be returning.
Great pub! Amazing food and lovely staff! Only went for dinner so don't know about the rooms but if they're the same standard as the food then definitely recommend! I had seafood linguine and every ingredient on that plate was cooked to perfection. Big portions of quality grub 🤌
Friendly staff and great food. We had tried to get bookings at several other restaurants but with no success. However glad we came here. They didn't mind our 2 small dogs sitting on the bench at the table and even fetched them a biscuit each. Would definitely go there again if we were in the area.
Great pub, really friends and welcoming staff when we went on Monday. Busy and good atmosphere. The food was delicious, good value, home cooked food, generous portions. Will definitely return. Menu in the pics as we couldn’t find the menu online before we went.
Unfortunately I couldn’t stay for a meal. With a baby screeching nearby and the general noise of the place it caused havoc with my tinnitus. Shame, it allows dogs and the menu suited me. Good selection of meals, part of my party stayed and enjoyed their food.
Please no babies, ruined my evening.
On holiday as a family of 5 and 2 dogs, have been twice, food really good, friendly staff and the Sunday roast was probably the best we've ever had. Definitely recommend
This pub is just up the hill from Morgan Porth beach. No sea view, but great place to relax with easy parking.
Our food was fantastic. I had the stack burger which is a double 6 oz, and added the chef chilly beef and jalapeños. This was probably the biggest plate of food I had In Cornwall, but the quality made it one of the most enjoyable as well.
This is pub food at its best, and we enjoyed it far more than our evening at Stien's Seafood Restaurant a few weeks ago.
One of the most friendly pub's we have been to for years . Lovely food . Dog friendly they gave her treats and made us all feel so welcome really recommend to everyone !! 10 out of 10
Had the Sunday carvery on our visit beef cooked perfectly and cauliflower cheese should be in a michelin star restaurant but the roasties left a lot to be desired dry with tough out sides,other than that I enjoyed my visit good service pleasant atmosphere and good cornish beer would visit again when in the area.
The place to be if you like a warm welcome, friendly staff, excellent customer service and amazing food.
The best meal I’ve had in ages. Very very good.
