Well.. had mixed emotions to visit. Some good n bad reviews. Ambience. Very ordinary. Heavy emphasis in stacking as many punters in as possible. Maximum 40-45cm between tables. Staff. Not in a hurry to serve but polite. The Big Breakfast. Sigh. A lesson in bad planning and execution. Bacon cooked to rubber. Use a chutney to offset the fatty with a flavoured acid. Badly under seasoned and no salt or pepper in sight. All in all first year chef school mistakes Salmon. Apple chutney good. Salmon undercooked. Crispy fired. Needed another 30-60 seconds on heat. Reasonable flavour. Coffee. Clean that mahine or adjust temperature. Acrid flavour from what appears a medium roast bean. Price. For what was received very over priced. The exec chef needs to go to zero on the food outcome. Either poorly trained or unskilled chefs Gave a 2 as this place needs to work to a 3*

Restaurant quality ingredients plus Chef David Hall’s ready made sauces turn dinner at home into a special occasion. We mix and match the meats and fish with the different sauces to make our own creations. We put the Curry sauce in our homemade vegetable soup. Yummy! My favorite is the Salted Caramel Sauce that comes with the Apple Pie.

Great location for a restaurant although the food was very average for the price we paid and also the waiters were not very attentive at all. We asked for a glass of coke multiple times and never got it. But when we left the waiter tried to get us a coke 'to-go' in a coffee cup but the bartender was very reluctant to pour us some 'free' coke.

So good to while away the arvo, safely on a perfect Melbourne day. Glad to be back at a firm favorite. Yummy pizza and a beautiful cheesecake to go. Excellent & friendly service. Doing all the right things!

Good food (albeit expensive) but little atmosphere. I read about this place in Broadsheet years ago but I suspect it has been “sports bar-ified” since then. Went for a meal on a winter’s evening. The whole snapper and salad were delicious, and the staff attentive, service prompt. But the lighting and the music leave a lot to be desired. This place could be gorgeous - please turn down the lights, get rid of the LED signage and the 90s pop rock and it’d be great!

Had a really lovely waitress here. Service was quite slow but it was a Sunday morning and we had been warned. Food was a little smaller than expected with one tiny poached egg but it was perfectly cooked. Small portion, even the juice glasses are tiny, but a lovely scenic venue.

Always great food as would be expected as it is sourced from Tasmania. Steak exceptional as was the whole baby snapper. Menu has been down sized during COVID but still a good choice. Was quiet and servers were a bit to attentive. I do recommend this resturant

I was very aware that I was paying for their rent with this meal. Had a "big" breakfast for $28 and was honestly tiny. Egg poached well, but the toast was nearly inedibly hard, they had completely forgotten to season anything, and presentation was rushed even though they weren't busy. Coffee was good and service was polite enough!
