sunday lunch carvery was delicious. Generous portions of meat with all the trimmings and plenty of choice of vegetables. Warm and friendly pub atmosphere. Beautiful location.

Popped in for a quick pint on the way home from Calke Abbey, and decided to return to following week for a carvery. Service is always top notch, and the staff are extremely polite and attentive. The carvery was good, however for the price I would have expected slightly larger portions. Nevertheless a good quality carvery, and potentially enough for a repeat visit at some point in the future. I’d definitely return to sit in the garden for a beer in the sun though.

The carvery was very popular, it seems. Good quality and quantity. Other mains were also of good quality.
Desserts were varied and very reasonably priced.

Didn't stay came for lunch. One member of our party was quite ill. Thank you to bar person James whom managed to sort out using first aid techniques.
