Spotswood Hotel

The restaurant could be interesting for its aesthetic characteristics. The food was pretty good but nothing great. Maximum score for that 2.5 stars. As for the hygiene of the restaurant, it is very poor, in fact the tables without paper or cloth tablecloths were sticky, while the bathrooms were dirty and smelly. I hope you realize that your business is not a mechanical workshop but a restaurant where meals are produced and served. Unfortunately, the rating does not exceed one star.

The food and ambience was great. Although our first two drinks were delivered by holding the rims of the glasses. Nice waiter and very personable just no idea how to serve a drink. (There was only two of us) Unfortunately there was clearly no one with service experience on the floor and no one to instruct and direct them. I had to go to the bar where two staff busy taking with each other. Although both looked at me it was not until I spoke they decided to see what I wanted. I asked for our mains to be cleared and see a desert menu. We finished our meal a good 10 minutes. Similarly two staff walked past our table empty handed and retuned empty handed. Having spent many years in hospitality to educate myself I find it amazing management don’t see service as something that is important. It’s a shame because it was great food and really nice place to eat 🥲

Perfect, the food was delicious, prawn pizza. The service was better than good, the staff looked after us so well. Wine was really well priced and the champagne rose was so so good. I'd highly recommend this to anyone. Also I was from qld having a reunion and felt so welcomed. Thank you all so much again 🤗🤗🤗🍾🍷
