Are you East or West? We were definitely West and made our way to the posh and lavish salon in the democratic side. We felt right at home with our cocktails, cheese platter, pretzels and fries sitting underneath the chandeliers. No dingy dark bunkers for us thanks! We enjoyed our experience but thought the cocktails should be renamed to a more German theme. Too many Russians for a German themed bar! 🤷‍♀️

The atmosphere is really nice. Communism or capitalism? The drinks and decor are interesting. There’s no actual sign outside. You enter through the door way and go up the stairs, you’ll need to wait for someone to let you in. Everything was great minus the slow service.

East or West? Capitalism vs communism? What wins? Who cares ... it's all about the alcohol AND this place did not disappoint! Went with friends and waited 15 mins to get in. The stairs were just plain and not much to look at. As you enter the bar, you get transported to an old school posh bar with chandeliers and dim lights. I had an old fashioned cocktail and it was strong and thoroughly enjoyable! Sipped it and enjoyed the ambience with my amazing friends. For nibbles, we had cheese plate, pommel frittes and pretzels. Was a great accompaniment to the cocktails. (Have to say I definitely enjoyed the pretzels more than I thought I would)

Will you go for capitalism or communism? The staff were super sweet and the decor was amazing. The lights were super interesting and the menu was well designed visually to suit the German theme. Drinks were cold, complex and served fast. Nice chill bar with a dodgy looking entrance adding to the vibe. Rock n roll was played with Top Gun on the screen which was pretty sick. This is my second time going and I will be going again.

Cocktails were amazing! Service was incredible!!! The staff were so nice. Love the concept as well. I had a fruity cocktail which was yum, and my partner had a spicy one which was super spicy hahaha no joke. I also got the buzz aldrin which was super good too! Great place for some chill cocktails!

Loved Berlin!! I had seen people talking about this bar on both Instagram and TikTok and I’ve been wanting to check it out for a while. A group of us went there last night. We had to wait for a bit and the super nice maître d’ grabbed one of our numbers and took us downstairs to a bar on the ground floor. He handed us over vouchers for a free shot each (shots were $11 each!!) and, literally, as we finished our shots, we got his text to head back upstairs. The bar is split into two — East and West Germany. They’ve done a great job. You have the glamour of the West clashing with the communist East. We were seated in the East and three of my friends were sitting on a bunk bed. There’s too much going on to be able to describe it — you simply need to go and check it out for yourself. Their cocktails are great and pack a punch. Everything we tried tasted absolutely amazing. The Martini was out of this world. Definitely a must-visit place! We are absolutely going back to try some more of the cocktails! Oh, and the service is fantastic — the staff are great!!

Great Bar to look out for. Themed around East and West Berlin in the cold war, there are two areas to choose from. Almost a secret find, you wouldn't be blamed for missing it down a lovely cobblestone alley. Great vibe inside. Cool music. Great hosts and take service. Awesome cocktails and great other options including a two and a half page whiskey selection.

Very cool hidden bar at the top floor. Divided into capitalism and communism side. Great cocktails and atmosphere. Def prefer the more clean capitalism side. Service was fantastic as well.
