My favourite spot in town. A warm and inviting ambience with a beautiful selection of vinyl records from around the world, delicious food with many specific details about the space that give it character and unpacks many stories. The more you go and engage with its hosts, the more you fall in love with the place. Great to go on a date, with friends, or alone (highly recommend the last).

I have never left a bad review on anything in my life before but staff in this place is extremely disrespectful and pushy, I’ve never seen anything like it. We casually came for a drink and a chat, one waitress came 3 times to ask us if we wanted to order more while we obviously still had drinks in our glasses, we ordered a second round and then another waitress came and tried to take the glass with drink in it and my friend politely asked her to wait until she’s finished with it and she responded:‘I’m gonna let you keep that ice’. The venue itself is so special and beautiful, I’m so sorry to leave this place with such a bad experience. I’m definitely never coming back and I for sure wouldn’t recommend it!

A little taste of Spain in Melbourne! The food is delicious and is always the perfect bite. The Bar itself is gorgeous and full of knick knacks that bring charm and class to the venue at the same time. The best part about Geralds bar are the staff! Super attentive and friendly. Clearly a neighbourhood institution. Excellent in its eccentricity. Food and drink service is prompt and satisfying. Would definitely return for more on my next trip to Melbourne. Worth the small journey out of your comfort zone.

Great music and a friendly, knowledgeable staff make this one of Carlton North's best kept secrets. Always good to run into great conversations with staff and strangers alike! Really can't recommend this place enough, only wish I had more stars too give 🧐
