Decadent french dining, cosy quiet atmosphere and fresh rich succulent seafood to match. Service was timely and thoughtful. Ambience exactly what you expect from a tucked away bistro. Hot bread and fresh butter to start then some baked cheese and trout. Scallops melted in my mouth while we were handed extra bread to mop up the juices from the mussel broth. We were the last to leave with no pressure to get out of there, a long relacing dinner and a chat as they packed up around us. Will definitely come back.

Great little wine bar. Love the feel of the front section, intimate and perfect for a little snack or make your way through the menu.
The bread (I know simple) is just always delicious and so crusty!
Parfait - ask for extra bread. It’s sooo good you want to make it last..
Great wine - you can even take away WINNING!

Another day, another Restaurant but tonight was special. I’ve always liked this part of Melbourne for that something a little unique and reminds me a lot of Europe, particularly Spain.
There are three parts to this restaurant. Outside on the wide pavement are some tables and chairs and on this mild summer night, the perfect place for a wine or Aperol and watch the world go by. Inside thereis the bar inside with stools. This is where you order the ‘bar food’. There are also tables to sit at here and then outside at the rear in a small courtyard. The toilets are between the courtyard and main restaurant.
This is probably more known as a wine bar with a brilliant range of local and international wines. The Sunbury Shiraz was excellent.
We ordered a platter of nibbles which was $32. Consisting of four lots of cured meat, sausage and pate. Came with garlic butter and small slices of crusty bread. We were offered a little more bread at no extra cost. The pate was superb and there was s generous amount of food. The main menu for those seated at tables appeared to be a little different but with lots of good choices. Portion sizes are good. Dietaries are easily catered for.
Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking out the front and in side streets.
Finally and probably most importantly - the staff are lovely. Very helpful and eager to please.
Would’ve taken more photos but it just seemed inappropriate as it was so busy. But hey Lina’s invite me back and I’ll snap away.
I will return.

An intimate space with a great atmosphere in keeping with a Parisian bistro. Unfortunately the comparison ends there. The service, while friendly, was amateurish, with one main course being delivered almost 15 minutes after the other mains were served. However the food was of high quality. The wine list by the glass was limited and expensive.
If atmosphere is what you want, go to Lina's. If value for money is more your thing, try somewhere else.

Very cosy wine bar at Albert Park. Great wines, open every day, and savoury bar snacks very satisfying - what more could you want?

Previously enjoyed many a fine evening and wine whilst managed by Josh and his wife. Unfortunately since their departure the experience, service and staff turnover have seen such be a thing of the past.
Recent personal experience has demonstrated that the proprietor, Peter Kopke, believes that he does not have to pay his suppliers, many of whom are small business owners and/or small-batch winemakers.
After many months of chasing (ie. since mid-December 2020) and the odd bit of abuse, the matter has been referred to debt collection agency to resolve. Very much a case of supplier beware!

We had dinner in this restaurant. Meals were ok, typical Franch. We like their Beaujolais wine, which is not popular much outside of France. Was surprised with white beaujolais, never heard before about white wines from Burgundy. This Chardonnay was not bad at all.

Amazing selection of wine with great daily specials. A lovely French vibe and the live music at the weekends is awesome. One of my favourite restaurants in Albert Park. Also the $5 wine special from 4-6:30 makes it a great place to get in a sneaky one on the way home from work 😉
