Ramen Bankara

Pros: - Noodles made on-site! - Good ambience - Reasonable price - Good, rich broth - Smoky bacon accompanies each bowl Cons: - First few sips of the broth is the only good part of the meal. - Serving of noodles is disproportionate to amount of broth in the bowl. There was too much noodles for the bowl. - Noodles were too soft and overcooked. Ramen noodles are supposed to be springy to the tooth. You can get away with the wrong ingredients if you cook it correctly. Unfortunately, the erroneously already thin noodles were further butchered by being overcooked until gummy and soft. Recommendation: Come here only if you're in the are and craving ramen. I know that's harsh but I wouldn't come here again.

I didn’t exepct their ramen to be exactly the same as the ones in Japan. But it was very different, because it was extremely salty!😭🧂😭🧂I tried tonkotsu in Fukuoka and the salt ramen in Hokkaido before and they were not this salty. I assume that chef can’t tell the difference! But I give them 3 stars for their takoyaki🍱👍

This place has a great selection of ramen and other Japanese meals together with a good selection of Japanese beers. The wait times are usually not too bad, so you don't have to wait outside for long if you have to, and you don't feel pressured by people waiting outside for you to leave as soon as you're finished, nor to rush your food. Like if you agree.
