In Melbourne in 2022, this is criminal - They serve everything in plastic, even when dining in. I ordered one lunch meal which was not warm and not oily- look at the plastic that came with my meal!. Unable to enjoy my food. There are plenty ways to improve here - I would love to hear from management. Very disappointing.

I ordered a Chicken Curry. A few people let me know that this place has gone downhill over the years. The chicken was not the usual quality, ⅓rd had fatty (too chewy,) pieces and I left them. The curry sauce was like from a quick-make packet. Next day I woke up not feeling good, like I had eaten something not quite right. I struggled with my belly all day and sipped on water only, until 4pm. Very disappointing as I love this place. I will still give the one in the City (Don Don,) a try when I go there next. Perhaps it was a new chef?, perhaps a bad night? But the chicken supplier definitely needs to change. I would rather pay $1-2 more for better quality. I nearly gave two stars, but after years of patronage, I decided to give it a pass. Ty

10 years past as of 2012, meal is so cost effective for local students. Ordered Pork DonKatsu, tasty as per usual; however, today’s fried chicken was too salty, too much pepper on top, May they were too busy to prepare all quality food.

I don't know how anyone can fault this place. It's cheap. Large portions. It's delicious. Friendly staff. The food comes out SO QUICK. I love this place. My favourite cheap eats. I might just go live in Carlton so I can eat at this place every day haha

This was one of my favourite places to visit but I’m so sad that they now only serve in plastic take way containers - even when you are eating in. So much plastic created just to eat one meal. I won’t be eating here again until they at least go back to bowls etc for eating in.

My favourite as well as the most visited restaurant in the last four years. They have been consistent with their food and service equally. I don't think you can find a better curry-don in Melbourne. And they are giving it for the best price in town too. which makes it phenomenal.. There was a time I had lunch there every single day for a few months, and it never bored me. If you are around UniMelb, a must visit..

Cheap and cheerful food and beer, particularly good for students and young people on a budget. Incredibly quick service and never fails to be insanely tasty. Always worth the trip.

Too good. This is 松屋 in Melbourne. I smashed the food under 5mins... no time to take photo. P.S. there is ONE free parking spot right in front of the restaurant!
