This is far more than a regular food store!!! It's the only food store in Beacon Cove and good for a cold drink and ice cream in summer and for your last minute or emergency groceries, fruit and veggies, if you can't be bothered with driving down to the main supermarket and shops in Bay Street. You can also pickup the daily newspaper or a magazine, as well as your Tattslotto ticket, Met Cards and Phone Cards in the newsagency. Believe it or not you can also get a fishing licence here and buy fishing tackles, bait, hooks and sinkers!! There's also a Westpac ATM at the front of the store. I've had a coffee here which was pretty good but haven't tried the food.

Very clean environment. Good variety of products available. Fresh produces are available. Stocks are generally little more costly than average market value. Parking available on-site. Cash and card payments accepted. Disability-friendly access. Easy to find the location and proximal access from public transport.

Came in while waiting to go back to Tasmania on the boat. As advertised I brought $4 for an ice cream and $3.47 for a drink. As she rang it up on the till the total was displayed - $7.47 so $7.45. Was charged $8.95 it’s only a few cents but I could tell she was ripping me off. Wasn’t friendly but oh well. Maybe that’s why Nextdoor’s shut down.

Good selection, but like most IGA Supermarkets, the costs are ~20-30% greater than Coles/Woolworths. Parking is free for the 1st hour.

Handy little market in the middle of tourist prices. An oasis of normal. Lovely to drop in here for a cool drink and an ice cream in summer without paying through the nose at the local spots.

Smallish shop, dark and daggy, though you can pick up your emergency food and alcohol. Always a wait if you need to top up your Myki or buy Tatts
