Lucky to give one star! Went to the local RSL last night and I had the worst meal ever. I ordered a seniors roast of the day ( pork) and I had to send it back! Meat was as tough as leather … at first l thought it was the knife but no it was the dry overcooked meat. The veggies were dried up and the roast potatoes cold. I cld choose to have another plate of roast or a replacement meal … l decided on fried fish and chips. Well that meal was average too! The house wine was warm and awful. The other wine I bought was better. It is such a pity that this lovely old heritage building has not been looked after. We sat in the dining room … we were the only ones other than an elderly gentleman. The bench seats are tattered and need reupholstering . The walls need painting and the windows cleaned. There is no atmosphere at all. Management has really let down the community on this dingy dive of a place. I won’t be coming back!

Interesting old building and wasn't crowded. In fact it was pretty much cleared out by 7.30pm on a Saturday. Food when it finally came was tasty and all plates emptied partially also to smallish sizes. Chips were very average with not much potato left inside but other dishes were enjoyable. Main negative is the time it took to serve the food. An hour from ordering to serving is too long in my book, especially when it wasn't that busy.
