The Welby

Carpark has plenty of parking no child spaces but has blue badge holder spaces available, there is an outside play area for children as well as outside tables, when arrives we hadn't booked a table and all tables had reserved signed allocated to them so we had to ask a table was available as time of reservation was an hour and half away always best to ask, take clean with menus available plenty of variety of food, placing orders is at the bar or through the Greene king app. Food arrived at the same time no waiting, although the children's meal burger the bun was over done and quite hard, called a member of staff over who promptly apologize and Wendy to the kitchen door a replacement bun. Over all though apart from that little miss hap the food was too a good standard and hot . Toilets were clean although no sink or urinal child size there is a disabled toilet also available

My husband and I like eating at Hungry Horse pubs, we can always rely on good food and service. This particular pub was pretty good. The big drawback was the handicapped parking. Good spacious spaces placed on a slope...not easy to navigate when you get out of your vehicle on uneven ground. Then there were 5hree steps into the building. If there was a disabled entrance it wasn't clearly marked. We managed, but shouldn't have to. Otherwise, everything was great.

Six of us went for a meal last Saturday evening. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food was really good overall, however the chicken sizzler portion size is very small for one of the more expensive dishes, so was a little disappointed with that. The pub is in need of a refurbishment. Lots of chairs are very worn out and ripped and the place could definitely do with redecorating. But overall the food and the staff made it worth visiting.

Was not expecting much it was just convenient that it was a place and near where we were at the time but wow the food was amazing and not even too expensive so definitely would visit again the place was quiet and didn't seem like it had much staff due to this but can't fault the food 10/10 absolutely gorgeous food and dessert! I woul recommend the mix starter platter it was a lovely selection of everything and really nice.

Visited the night before a wedding as this was the groom's local. Restaurant was busy when we arrived but managed to accommodate a large group despite not booking as numbers were unknown beforehand. App ordering worked great, food was good and there was plenty of it. No massive wait for food and drink and ordering at the bar afterwards was efficient and had no problems. A couple of the cocktails were unavailable as some of the ingredients had run out, which could just be bad luck for a Thursday (presumably they'd be restocked for the weekend). However, alternatives were offered by the bar staff. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, and prices were good. Can't understand the bad reviews, looks like a lot of people expect everything for nothing. No complaints from anyone in our group and would happily come again.
