Gathering for 9 family members. The team couldn’t have been more helpful, accommodating our booking with our dog, providing a table in a lovely area. Perfect ambiance. Although this meant table service was not applied staff were incredibly helpful. We pre-ordered a few meals from Sunday lunch menu, simplistic approach by all. The food was excellent, quality and generous portion sizes. We were genuinely surprised by the whole experience.

First time we’ve been back since the refurbishment. What a difference!! The service was exceptional, friendly, welcoming and attentive. The meal was excellent too. Love the fact it has table service (sorely lacking in the U.K.). The pub has the feel of a more upscale pub, and the prices reflect that as well, but we’ll worth it, compared to many of the other pub chains around. We actually felt quite relaxed when visiting - something I never feel at many of the competitors. Of all the “chain” pubs, this is one of our new favourites and we’ll definitely be back again soon!

Service was really good maybe too quick with food but wasn’t too busy so expected. Very good staff friendly polite. Food good maybe offer other potato chooses than fried chips or fried sweet potato only healthy option was salad everything else it very high fat calories. Overall good experience

Very nice place, a nice atmosphere, and the staff were amazing. Food took a while to come out, but as a party of 8, we appreciated it coming out at the same time. Some dishes needed a bit more seasoning. The pie was more like a pukka pie than a homemade pie. Overall, food was hot and nicely presented, but a bit overpriced for what it is.

I was a bit worried about going here because of some of the negative reviews but I needn’t have been. The place is fantastic. The decor was nice, the staff were lovely and the food was amazing. I couldn’t fault it. I will definitely be coming back in the near future. Keep doing what you are doing!

Booking on line. Very easy Greeted well on arrival Seated in the table service area Bit of a longer wait for the drinks when ordered but apology made Food choice very good. Fish and chips were fabulous. Nicely served and delicious Good choice of dessert although 2 were unavailable but chosen ones were very nice The sole experience was faultless. Definitely be back again. Visited the ladies toilets before leaving and they clearly hadn’t been checked in awhile but did find one clean enough to use Honest facts not meant as criticism

Easy booking online booking system. My a table for 3, myself my partner and son. Myself and partner had Sunday roast. And son had fish. Loved the Sunday roast, the meat was lovely. As was the roast parsnips, and glazed carrots. Unfortunately the Green beans and cabbage were a little hard for my liking, and was too much garlic in the roast potatoes. But when we come back, will mention that when ordering. But other than that everything was lovely, and our waitress was very nice.

I really enjoyed dining at this pub in Melton. The staff were attentive, friendly and the service was fast. The pub is clean, spacious and has a rustic feel to it. The toilets were also very clean, which was a massive plus for me! The Sunday roast I had was absolutely delicious, the apple crumble was abit too much apples and not enough crumble on top; but that's just my preference. I will definitely be visiting this spot again when I'm next in Melton. I would highly recommend giving them a try.
