Tacos Mi Nacho

Just had dinner at the new building this evening and I gotta tell you, the food is amazing. From the starter with chips and fresh salsa two ways and guacamole to the shredded beef burrito stuffed with beans, rice, lettuce, tomatoes and onions, the chicken flautas covered in shredded lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream, the outstanding tilapia ceviche we were transported back to San Diego/Tijuana with the authentic textures and flavors of Mexico! Definitely will eat here again and 100% recommend a visit...

We were originally going to MR TACO but unfortunately they are closed on Mondays, we were told the next best place is TACO MI NACHO .. it was a disappointment to say the least. The server was okay.. she tried.. however our dishes were brought out one by one and it made for an uncomfortable dining experience, especially when you’re hungry and don’t want to eat cold food but want to eat together. The food was not authentic Mexican food with flavors and sauces and even in presentation. We all know chorizo is spicy, my chorizo was mushy in texture and bland in flavor, the one big tomato tasted like it’s been in the fridge (I know you know I’m talking about) the steak was dry and maybe I’m being particular but even the size of the steak cuts were too big. The salsas they bring you were also not the best. The tomato salsa had too much liquid compared to the onions tomato and cilantro portions inside. The green “avocado” salsa needed more salt and lemon. We also had shrimp and chicken tacos and they were okay.. the food was not cooked with love, and you felt it. We did have a pulled pork burrito and that I will say was delicious. The pork had good flavor and it was a good portion size for the price. They also have a fried fish on the menu that takes 45 min to cook, not sure why a fish would need 45 min to cook, also the place is small and intended for fast service, that fish is not an ideal item on the menu. MR TACO is only a 3 min drive from this location, go there instead!

We went in thinking oh this looks like a nice Spanish restaurant known for tacos let’s try it. First off there’s tons of good seating an they out us next to the kitchen second we ordered soda an she gave us cans an had to go back for glasses which she almost dropped at the table. Then I’m ordering an she has no issue understanding me or speaking English but the second I respond she looks at my husband cause she knew he spoke Spanish an acts like she doesn’t know English. I even ordered my side dish in Spanish she still acted like she didn’t understand an kept looking to my husband almost like she was doing it on purpose. My food wasn’t even warm the rice was gross an his nachos he asked for no cheese an they put cheese so he couldn’t eat it. The good thing is they didn’t charge us for his meal other then that I will never be going back there again.

Terrible since they have opened a new restaurant! They have run out of chicken, they place you on hold to tend to the walk ins and forget that you are on hold.. you try calling back and the phone is off the hook! They have to do better business! Seems like the place was running much better before opening a bigger place! I get that you're busy. However, leaving a customer on hold for 10 min for a pick up order is not ok! Suggestion: Have one person doing pick up orders, phone orders... and another hosting the front. Very disappointing.....
