Sunflower has been part of Merthyrs high street for more than 30 years and while it’s changed ownership a few times it still serves up good old fashion chip shop cafe grub.
I use it as regularly as I can and find the service polite, friendly and speedy whilst the food served is lovely and what you’d expect from this kind of restaurant.
The gravy and chips tastes as good today as it did when I used to visit with my parents as a child decades ago.

Highly recommended. We loved our fish and chips, it was very tasty. We came to the town just after 6 pm and the shop was closing but the staff was SO kind and friendly to let us in and prepare food for us. My little one has eaten everything ( which doesn’t happen often :) . Thank you very much .
