If you’ve ever wondered what it’d be like to be in a zombie apocalypse, this is the place to stay. Upon parking and about to embark to check in, our biggest fears were confirmed; our first zombie, she was stumbling and shouting, appearing to be holding a bottle of something in her hand, i didnt know they could do that. fearing for my and my friends safety we hastily rushed to the safety of the van and locked the doors, we stayed quiet, hearts pounding and palms sweating, but alas we weren’t noticed. We checked in without a hitch, the one staff member we saw was polite enough, and showed us to our rooms, one had a mcdonalds chip on the floor next to bed, not good - it was clear food was going to be a shortage and wouldn’t last long between us, we were worried and argued over who was going to be the one to eat it, at the others expense. We witnessed a few more zombies roaming around and leaving the carpark in the evening, one was on a bike, perhaps these were more intelligent ones, more violent? I dread to think. During the night my friend was awoken by a zombie roaming the hallway, banging and chanting, with the door barricaded, he felt a little more safe. We also witnessed a fight in the street from our rooms, perhaps factions of survivors disagreeing on whether to seek shelter at the hotel. Our room had a smoke stained white sock over the smoke alarm, the consistent aroma of weed flowing around the place was quite relaxing though The shower was hot and powerful, Although we only had one half-used toilet roll, supplies were low. 30 quid each for the night, and we never got chased/ attacked and we managed to check out unharmed, we are now safe with our families, god bless you all

Arrived from liverpool, got a friendly warm greeting from the receptionist. The room is a nice size seeing as I'm staying by myself so can't complain. I've yet to try the breakfast out tomorrow but still 4stars well done

Cheap hotel, but acceptable for a one night stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was quite small in portion size, and limited to sausages OR bacon. Beans OR egg and so on, but otherwise was well cooked. Avoid (un)lucky room #7 if you can. Directly above the kitchens, so smells of grease constantly.

This was a comfy and clean hotel to spend a couple of nights. It was warm and plenty of hot water. Staff were helpful. Didn't eat there so can't judge the restaurant but saw the lovely table settings for Christmas Day.

Dirty horrible place. Never saw the housemaids with a hoover once. Hot water lukewarm, cold water ran hot. Slats missing off the blinds. Made the mistake of going barefoot. Feet were black with loads rubbish sticking to them. No fly screens on catering kitchen. Staff not wearing gloves. Saw one going to bins out back and touch the bin to open , and go straight back to cooking. Customers from bar standing outside,,clearly smoking dope by the smell. Bar area itself filthy. Had to clean stuff off the chair before sitting down. If we could have got anyplace else we would have left immediately, but as we were there for a wedding, and every other place had stairs, we had no choice. Like a unemployed doss house from 1980, which is probably the last time it was cleaned. Avoid at all and any cost!!!
