Purchased a groupon for afternoon tea, took my mum along today. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. They let us choose what we wanted on our afternoon tea which you don't usually have the choice to do. We opted for a mix of sandwiches with Polish specialities including a wrap, it was delicious and very fresh. Following this was a selection of cakes which were homemade and so rich in flavour.
We could choose from any coffee and this was also topped up. My mum had never tried a cappuccino or latte so had both.
I would definitely recommend this place and we both said we will be returning in the future.
Thanks for a lovely experience.
Food is always excellent, place has a great vibe & the owners & staff are top notch! Great food, especially the krokiety pancakes, beetroot tea & ever changing selection of cakes. Lush!
A friend at work recommended Mannequin Cafe to me yesterday, so my wife and I went at dinner time. We both ordered the Grilled Polish Deli Wrap and both agreed that it is possibly the best wrap either of us has ever had. The atmosphere is fantastic in here and you genuinely feel like you have been invited into a friends home. The staff are lovely and we have already made plans to go back next week with our daughter. You really should make time in your day to give them a try, you will not be dissapointed........ As an edit we did go back the week after and had Krokiety and Pierogi. They were AMAZING!
Had a breakfast this morning there, and it was amazing.
We were two adults and a kid and a very lovely lady asking about our wishes and choices. We got the feeling she asked not because of the options itself but to get us exactly what would make us happy. And happy we were after we had eaten. The food was really good and made with an extra portion of love.
We even got some hand-made pirogy for breakfast.
It's totally worth a visit.
I tried the polish sausage sandwich, the polish sausage panini, pierogi and the hot and sour soup they sometimes have on, as well as a donut. Could not recommend this place enough, not only because the food was absolutely delicious, but the staff there are so lovely. They let me have a free sample of soup to see if I liked it, and were generally just lovely welcoming people.
Got the polish deli wrap after reading one of the reviews on here - it wasn't the best wrap I've ever had, however that is a crowded field and a v high bar - it was still delicious. Pierogi was also great, as was the cake. But the highlight was the service, so friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Middlesbrough or otherwise!
Had the Polish sausage sandwich with onions - cannot recommend highly enough. Really lovely people as well.
Very friendly , clean cafe shop. Been recommended by friend. It will be our one stop cafe for in Middlesbrough
The staff go above and beyond for you. We love calling in and having a coffee plus food sometimes
Delicious authentic Polish food with a modern twist, very welcoming no matter where you're from 😊
We love this Polish Cafe in the Centre of Middlesbrough. Everything is freshly cooked and the service is friendly and welcoming. It is a fantastic place to meet with friends and enjoy a bite to eat or delicious cake. Cannot recommend highly enough. The cakes are delicious and always different.
Such a lovely, warm and welcoming place! And I daresay - serving the best Polish pierogi (dumplings) and goląbki (cabbage rolls). Thank you for being so delicious and kind.
