Went here the other day with my brother and ordered the Keema/Cheese Samosa and Lamb Chops for starters; for mains, it was the Butter Chicken under Chefs Specialties, Garlic Nan and Keema Rice. Each of these dishes were delicious and stayed true to the Indian cuisine.
The value for money was good as we paid £30 for the aforementioned dishes as well as drinks. Besides the main dish, the others are quite low priced.
Service was well appreciated, we were well looked after.
Ambience was authentic, social and warm. They played Indian music all the while adding to the vibe.
Parking availability was an issue at the time, we had to park elsewhere and walked from there.
Best place to have authentic south Asian food. Good quantities and taste is the best so far we had. Can organize birthday parties too. Worth the prize.
One of the authentic Asian Restaurant where you can find all Authentic Eastern Dishes and definitely you will wish to come again again and again.

Some of the best food I've had in a while.
Recommend their family size Garlic Naan, Chef's Challenge 2 if you're looking for some spice, their sea food Balti.
Their chicken liver is the best I've had. 😍 Definitely recommend. Also their Mango Lassi is great.

The food was excellent, service was great and the atmosphere was really good. A very nice restaurant with a good selection of dishes! Oh, the Naans are massive!!
We had an excellent time, staff super friendly, food piping hot and very tasty, drinks a bit costly though, great atmosphere, obviously a very popular place, because it was very busy, most definitely recommended, we will be visiting again sometime no doubt. Tip = Parking is a nightmare, so plan ahead for your visit, best you organise a drop off and pick up time.
Great food. Great service. Been here several times with family and friends -never disappointed.
States very quickly and efficiently, placed orders smoothly without problems.. however the dished that were brought out were incorrect.. when questioning about the order.. told to just enjoy 😉.. my personal favourite part was the naan bread tree! Nice touch.. created a good Indian ambience. Did miss a candle this should be addressed ASAP in my opinion.
What a lovely restaurant, at this uncertain time Akbar's have taken every precaution on social distancing and keeping all there customers as safe as possible, with signage etc it has set a very high standard. The food is excellent very delicious with something for everyone on a fine menu. This is a lovely place with great friendly service, highly recommended will defo be coming again when in the area, thank you.

Favorite Indian restaurant in Teesside … Akbar’s Lamb Chops & Nans are our favorites … Manager there is very friendly & delivered good service when he is around … Overall reasonably priced and really authentic Indian cuisines … 👍🏻
