Aurum Lounge

16 of us come here for my birthday meal and it had the most friendliest atmosphere which was shown to us as soon as we had walked in, staff were very kind! To top it off we weren’t waiting very long for the food at all considering there was a large amount of us! It was nicely prepared and nothing short from perfect!

I visited with a colleague on a business trip after making a Google search for a local steakhouse. We found the restaurant easily enough, the only disappointment was we were the only customers at 9pm. As with other previous reviews the food was very good being well prepared and fresh. The only reason I've not given 5 stars is the some of the meals shown on the menu were not available, although the manager discounted their most expensive steak as compensation. The restaurant is not licenced however they do a range of soft drinks and their smoothies were excellent.

The Aurum Lounge was recommended to my husband and I and we decided to finally go check it out a few days ago. The location is lovely and quiet. When we walked in, there was a large family group already eating there and they all seemed happy and were enjoying themselves. The vibe was really relaxed and lovely. The seats are spaced out well and the staff are very accommodating and friendly. We ordered the strawberry mojito and strawberry daquiri which were freshly made, presented well and tasted beautifully refreshing. We ordered prawn skewers and lamb chops for starters which had very unique individual flavours and had been marinated well (some restaurants have the same marination for all their meats which can be disappointing). We were impressed and would definitely order them again. For mains I ordered a cheeseburger and chips and my husband ordered a steak with mashed potatoes. The cheeseburger was on a lovely brioche bread and the meat was cooked to perfection. The best cheeseburger I've had in years!! Topped with their own special sauce that rounded up the flavours perfectly. The steak was beautifully cooked and the peppercorn sauce complimented it very well. For dessert we shared an Aurum special waffle which I have to say, was the best waffle I've ever eaten. Freshly made, crunchy on the outside and wonderfully soft on the inside. Toppings were placed so every mouthful had great flavour and was delicious. The hot chocolate and latte were also very enjoyable. As it's a new business, expect to have a little bit of a wait for the food as you can tell everything is made fresh. But it's definitely worth the wait and I can't wait to go again!!
