Unique cuisine, good food, lovely staff � Recommended for something different! Eating food their way means ditching the cutlery and scooping the different bits using something similar to a pancake. Ethiopian coffee (coffee beans actually roasted on the spot) also recommended for an aromatic finale; also comes with incense!! ^^

A fantastic meal and atmosphere with the lovely hosts of Salam Restaurant. The (beyaynetu) selection platter was simply superb. Had a fab evening, thank you. Highly recommended xx

Delicious vegan food, excellent service and good advice (I wasn't used to eating Ethiopian food). The coffee was perfect too So get ready to use your hands and really enjoy your food

First time trying out Ethiopian cuisines … The food is not too bad (I do prefer Indian and Turkish) and reasonably priced and their coffee is super delicious and a must try … I’m sure we will come back here again to try other dishes …

Not bad value for money, a lot of food, nice variety. Intriguing cuisine. Very nice if you're looking for something different and an authentic African experience. It is Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine. They have quite a lot going for vegetarians. There isn't really parking but there is a large car park very nearby. Unfortunately they are not serving alcohol at the moment.

Pros: - amazing food - very tasty and filling - good music - great sense of culture and belonging - decorations were authentic and beautiful - servers had good service. Cons: - service was a little slow but there was only 2 members of staff on our visit.

Highly recommended. Friendly service, wide range on menu, great plant based choices. Clean. Very good value for money. Good portion size. My whole family really enjoyed coming here. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you 👍👍👍

Amazing vegetarian food! We ordered the vegetarian platter for 2. It was big enough for 3/4 people or 2 very hungry people. The meal was absolutely delicious, we all enjoyed it. We were very impressed overall and would fully recommend!

This is one of THE best restaurants in Middlesbrough! The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere was very beautiful from the music to the decorations. The waiting times were great (and they were worth it). The portion size was perfect. I ordered the Keyh tibsi. The lamb was succulent and perfectly cooked. The onions, spices and salad went perfectly with the slightly sour injera. The hygiene was great. 10/10 I would recommend to anyone in Middlesbrough.

Lovely food, thoughtful and friendly staff. The vegetarian dishes are all vegan friendly and taste amazing. The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated and a wonderful experience. Highly recommend visiting if you're in Middlesbrough.
