The Desi meal for 11£ is a nice deal and heavy meal if you're really starving.

Excellent place! Fantastic staff. Great value for money. I had no idea this place did Desi breakfast until I seen The Food Troll video.
We had the Desi breakfast with Desi Tea & Pink Tea. Food was good and all made to order. Can’t wait to return and try other items on the menu. Great bonus to find out the full menu was halal!

Place is very cozy and Desi atmosphere. I really like food and it was desi breakfast. The lady over working there ; she is very sweet. And the pink chai is role model for me.
Even more, I don't like sweet but her halwa is best ever halwa. It wasn't too sweet and wasn't tasteless; It just touched my heart. I would really go there more nd more.

We came all the way from London and search a place to go for breakfast and found this place. I would definitely recommend to visit this restaurant the food was amazing. Pratha and chana was so delicious specially service was amazing felt us like a home. 😇

I dropped by Porthole cafe on short notice and I was pleasantly surprised by the selection. It is fully halal and I ordered the lasagne and a shish kebab panini, both meals were lovely and really good portions, my only minor tweak would have been for a bit more spice in the lasagne. I also ordered a side of aloo tikis and these were divine, the sauces were also decent. They also have a really good dessert selection which looked awesome and a good selection of hot drinks. I had a fantastic customer experience with the staff, they were welcoming and chatty and made me feel very comfortable, Overall a really nice place to eat.

It's been a good while since I've been here; I'm guessing it's under new management now because the menu seems totally different; but screw it?....
I got the chicken tikka burger; that was as nice as I was expecting; I got some samosas; there were different to what I was expecting; although maybe they were more traditional; those were actually nice....
I tried their spring rolls; a lot bigger than you'd expect; with a mash like filling; I'm guessing potatoe+peppers+cheese+something green+something else all mashed together; then the standard spring roll caseing; considering they were so difficult to what I was expecting; it was lush....
I'd recommend this cafe to anyone in the area; quick bite to eat before taking the kids around Albert's Park?

I ordered full English breakfast, the breakfast was great, on point. The place has old school traditional English cafe feel which is lovely. The coffee was really nice, coming from devote costa drinker.
