We ate off the weekday menu and the portions were filling, the food was tasty and the service was great. The activity pack for our child kept them happy, and the free salad bar has great selection. Outdoor play for your child is good too, great for a young family

Went in was promptly taken to our table. The service was great the two ladies who served us were very polite and professional. The service was quick and the 4 people's food was excellent , if I was going to be very picky the batter on the fish could be a little crispy, but in saying that it is being picky! The service was great and I'd have no hesitation recommending the Salt Celler. Thank you.

Very decent take away vegetarian meal. Price and quantity is spot on, portion is adequate and precented well in a plastic box!

Ate here on a Saturday evening. Given table straight away, the restaurant was fairly quiet considering it was a Saturday night. Order was taken quickly and food was tasty. Only let down was, when ordering the dessert, we waited half an hour but time was pressing on and we had a 4 year old and quite a long drive home. Chased the dessert order after 25 mins to be told it shouldn't be long, 10 mins later, still no sign so cancelled the order. No apology for the delay so this was a little disappointing way to end.

Enjoyed the food, staff very helpful and accommodating with us and 2 young babies, children's play area advertised as having a section for under 2's, but was disappointed with the under 2 play area - a small ball pit, a mirror and a small slide weren't interesting to the 1 year old for long!!

At 1st glance the menu was a bit pricey for a chain pub. When the food arrived we were impressed by the generous portions, the way it was cooked and presented and the addition of a free salad bar. You could not leave there hungry!

Very clean and tidy place was a first impression. Food was a good standard and presentation was good. Staff kind and helpful. Price wise average compared to anywhere. I'm not sure since my last visit last year that it's under new ownership but either way it's being managed a forward way.

Absolutely love this place, go all the time with my family sometimes service can be slow but that's due to it being a little busy. The food is always of top quality and is worth the money. The staff's attitude, manners, attention/listening traits are amazing and I will always recommend Salt Cellar to anyone who wants a top quality breakfast or afternoon meal.

Arrived a bit early for our booked meal. Place was rather busy however we were shown a suitable table for 4. Service was good food was good and a pleasant waitress served us through the evening. Not our first visit and definitely not our last. Well worth going for the good food and pleasant atmosphere. Thank you.

We stopped off at The Harvester Salt Cellar en route to the Lake District, wanting somewhere to watch the rugby and have some breakfast, and I cannot say enough about the service we received from Emma! I called mid-week to enquire as to whether they were open for the rugby (8.30am), only to be told they normally open at 9am, however as Emma was opening up she would happily let us in a little early to be able to watch the game! This is outstanding service from somebody who has taken it on herself to go the extra mile. To top it off then, we got fantastic service whilst we were there, again from the same person and a decent breakfast at half time - great timing! The restaurant has ample parking, is situated not far from the M6 and is clean, tidy and nicely decorated. Thanks again, a perfect start to our weekend, we'll definitely be back if we're passing again.
