Discovered this little gem of a place in March 2016 when out and about on the buses for the day with my elderly mother. I say that because it takes 2hrs 30mins and 3 buses for us to get to Midhurst so it has to be something pretty special to entice us to visit again, which we did yesterday. Cockburns Tea Rooms really is delightful and without doubt has the most polite and engaging staff who are happy and cheerful. Tea served the old fashioned way accompanied by a delicious variety of cakes. Superb sandwiches, lunch bites too and a proper afternoon tea for which they are famous (you do have to reserve though) Lots more on the menu which we'll discover next month. A real must if you're in the area .... and if you're not then certainly worth the effort.

A lovely little traditional tea room. For a real treat and to feel a bit special I recommend. In a nice setting in a lovely village. We came just for the cream tea and was worth it. You can book for a bit more special experiance and they have a lot of choice on the menu. Its a small place and so if you are coming from far go on week day or book to make sure you get a table. It's relaxing and you feel away from the hustle and bustle of life for a while. So worth a visit.

A wonderful tea room. We went as a group of 4 plus a toddler and a dog. The team were incredible, so warm and friendly and genuinely eager to ensure we had a great experience. The table was beautifully presented, and when we were seated every effort was made to accommodate my daughter who can be a little handsy. Tea was served promptly and was lovely, and again the staff were very accommodating to my friend who is very particular to how he has his coffee. The food followed and was delicious! A wonderful selection of treats that were enjoyed by all. A fabulous afternoon was had by all. We can't wait to come back again.

A delightful traditional English tea house. We chose the English breakfast tea blend which we found just right to go with our afternoon tea of sandwiches, scones and cake. Friendly staff and a uniquely English environment made our visit more than a one off. We look forward to more visits in the future...

I was given an afternoon tea for two here as a gift. Lovely, traditional tea room with friendly staff. The tea was delicious, sandwiches very fresh and beautifully light scones and a selection of small cakes. We would highly recommend this lovely tea room. We will be revisiting.

Best cream tea we ever had! Great little spot, truly captures the community feel. We found it by chance but always mention this place to others. Lovely memory back in 2014. Hopefully to return again.
