I only arranged to have lunch there as I took a 4 hour journey by train to get to Milford Haven. I was told they are quiet at lunchtimes (which it was) but I wonder what it is like when busy.
The sign outside shows it to be a Speakeasy and everything inside reflects that theme. There is almost constant jazz music and there are loads of posters on the walls of movies from those days.
The view across the harbour from my table was like icing on a cake 🎂 🥮 🍥 🥞.
We love Madisons. We went there on a whim not long after it had opened. We had an unexpected night without the children so with very little notice, we called and they got us booked in. Service was great, as was the food and it’s kept us coming back. We’ve been for meals on our own, as well as with larger groups and functions. The speakeasy, 1920s style is great and it’s a lovely night out.
Me and my fiancé went here for evening cocktails. We sat down quickly by the window overlooking the marina and boats. The service was quick and they served people food quickly which looked nice 🙂
The cocktails were served nicely in lovely glasses and all the glasses were pretty and individual. The set up inside was art deco / American actors and actresses.
A group of people came in with walking clothes and trainers and didn't book a table but were sat in a corner table near us - I think a dress code should be required there as there were people dressed up for meals and drinks and I think to book a table is required too.
Menus attached.
I wish there were more places like this around. Brilliant veggie food, fantastic personal service and a dining experience that really makes you want to take in every moment.
I dined alone for work and felt very welcome. Highly recommended for veggies and meat eaters alike. I’ll definitely be returning next time I’m in the area!
A hidden gem on the quayside. The food is prepared and presented to a very high standard. The staff are helpful and friendly. An ideal place if you don’t want burgers or pizza and want good tasting proper food. We had the lamb rump and the hake dishes and can highly recommend both.
Prime location pub. Stunning views overlooking Milford Haven Marina. Dog friendly too. Menu available. Very relaxing place to enjoy a draft pint and the dog shares a fresh bowl of water.
Walked around Milford Marina and was looking for a nice quaint restaurant to eat. We stumbled across Madison’s for a late lunch. Absolutely loved the ambiance and décor. Haden was our waiter and he was so warm, friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to accommodate my request for sweet potato rather than potato fries. I had their duck which was very yummy and my husband had their awesome bacon and cheese burger. If you looking for something different and quaint I would recommend it.
This is a great place to eat. Very quirky with a 1920s sort of theme to the decor which works really well. The selection of fish dishes is impressive and the customer service is really good.
Had the prawn and crab with champagne cocktail starter and the scallops with king prawns main both of which were so well presented and the taste was simply stunning.
Would definitely go back here again
Milford Haven this week. Strolled along marina, tried all the recommended restaurants in the vicinity. I was turned away from two as a ‘walk-in’. They looked as they could have fitted me in but seemed happy enough to look busier than they actually were.
Anyway, the staff in Madisons were lovely and my burger was excellent. I had already walked past it once as the two neighbouring restaurants had reviews. I should have saved myself the bother as I was greeted in both of them by dour, unaccommodating faces.
I love cheery, helpful and pleasant staff and this had that in spades, good on you. I can’t comment on the food in the other two restaurants, and I doubt now that I will.
Absolutely loved it here - lovely 40s/50s decor, spotlessly clean, great good, price and very nice friendly people, thank you 😊
